OnlyWire and all that jazz
The icon you see below and on some other pages on this site, and more such pages are still coming as I keep updating them, belongs to OnlyWire, a very useful bookmarklet.
When you click the link above, you will be presented with a frame that allows you to add this page to your favorite social bookmarks that OnlyWire supports. And it supports about 20 of them.
To use the bookmarklet you first need to register with its site at OnlyWire and follow the instructions to add your favorite social boookmarks to it. Obviously, you need to be registered with the bookmarking sites too, but that's pretty obvious, I think.
While OnlyWire supports about 20 of such sites, not all seem to work equally well or are as hassle free as others. I registered with 15 of them, but ended up using only 8 as those 8 turned out to work really well right away and you did not need to add any of their bookmarklets to your browser or stuff like that. You could skip this step and the OnlyWire thing would work with them just fine.
Here are those 8 sites that I use and recommend because of their surfer friendly approach:
If you have never used those sites, you may wonder what's the point to use them. There are a few good reasons to use them which I list below:
1) to bookmark the sites you find interesting as this way you can access them from any computer that connects to the Web,
2) to share them with others (your bookmarks can be public or private),
3) see what others are adding or collecting in their bookmarks or what's hot, in other words,
4) to promote your site or just some more interesting pages of it.
There are two more sites that I use to see what's hot and these are:

The latter is my definite favorite of all 10 featured here. I check out the former from time to time only. It seems to attract a pretty opinionated audience with a lot of time on their hands and a tremendous dedication to wasting it. Unfortunately, not so many of these people read what they post or comment on, which makes visiting this site not as worthwhile as I originally thought it would be. But it's worth checking out from time to time...
The button that StumbleUpon.com, my favorite as I mentioned, uses to facilitate posting about pages you visit can be found on this site as well, next to the OnlyWire icon. See it below.
If you click on it, you will start the process of posting about this page or any other page on this site you happen to find this icon on.
Both OnlyWire and StumbleUpon buttons work well with IE and Firefox. On this site you will often find them next to each other at the page bottom.
Please feel free to bookmark any page on this site that you find interesting and worth sharing with others using OnlyWire and StumbleUpon buttons. I believe those most suitable for this are the ones of educational or entertaining nature and they can be found in A Word of Advice and Eclectic sections of the site. These are also the sections that I will update with OnlyWire and StumbleUpon buttons in the first order.
