As you have probably noticed reading this site, I am not particularly impressed by the quality of what most vendors have to offer not to mention the price they slap on their products. Nevertheless, there are some exceptions to this rule. This is the page where these exceptions will be presented. They will fall into three broad categories, at least to begin with: Trading Strategies, Trading Software, and Other Tools for Success.

Bird Watching in Lion Country
This is probably the best ebook dedicated to trading that you can
possibly find on the Internet. While it focuses on trading Forex, its
lessons and ideas can also be easily applied to trading other financial
instruments such as stocks or futures. Anyone thinking about trading,
should give this fine piece of work a serious consideration.

While this ebook is dedicated specifically to trading the Forex market, it is one of the best ebooks on trading that I have ever read and because of that I strongly recommend it to anyone starting their career in trading. This is a painfully honest book and as such it can well serve as an excellent introduction to trading, no matter the financial instrument you intend to trade. MORE |
How to Trade the Futures Market
This is a very good introduction to trading futures that covers also emini futures
markets, written by an accomplished futures trader. Highly recommended as an
excellent primer for those considering trading these markets.

DreamTai Amazing Stock Trading Software
This little piece of software is indeed amazing considering its incredibly
low price (not even 20 bucks!) and how much it delivers for that. Highly recommended
not only to the beginners to trading stocks.

The strategy this ebook describes is one of the safest possible when
it comes to trading options and is likely to make you money no matter
whether the market is going up or down. Because of that, it could be
particularly suitable for a beginner to option trading. While this

This is one of those truly rare ebooks that I cannot endorse strongly enough. If you ever wanted to see how being
a selective trader can make you successful, check out this book. I have
made the idea of choosing one's trades wisely the cornerstone of my
trading philosophy and of my trading career and if I had done poorly with
that, you would never have come across this site.

Get Folio
This is one of the best investment programs for stock trading that I have seen
on the Internet. It also has been around long enough to be trusted. It has
everything sham artists' offers lack and
everything that someone serious about his or her due diligence should
require. I really cannot recommend it
highly enough.
Trading Software
Sierra Chart
This is my charting software of choice. It's very inexpensive, offers enough indicators
and lets you arrange charts in a much more flexible manner than other packages of the same kind
which makes it particularly suitable for daytrading. The support is very good and the community
of users
has one remarkable Kiwi and a few growing C programmers that can help you implement indicators
in addition to those in the standard package.
Medved
Quotetracker
It's very hard to beat the price of this software as it is free although it comes with ads.
The no-ads version is very affordable though. I like it and I use it for trading stocks whenever
I feel like trading them. The support is excellent.
Amibroker
This is a comprehensive package for technical analysis designed by a very competent programmer.
The developer support is truly great as is the vibrant Yahoo support group. Considering the price
and the software capabilities it is very hard to find something even close to it on the market.
I own an older version of the software although I practically do not use it these
days, but plan to return to it soon to develop my emini systems for
automated trading.
Bracket Trader
This is already a legendary piece of software, the first front-end for the Interactive Brokers TWS
that has made the life of so many traders so much easier.
The free version of the software allows you to trade ES, but you can get
the registered version forever for only $100, with which you can trade
many other markets. This is an excellent deal. The support for the software is very good. It is possible to link it
to Sierra Chart, Ensign or eSignal to practice trading with these charting
packages by playing back the data
accumulated by them. This is a very useful feature that
every serious trader should consider taking advantage of. Bracket Trader
is one of the two Interactive Brokers platforms that I use for my trading.
ZeroLine
Trader
This is a very good and intelligently designed piece of software that serves as a front-end for
the Interactive Brokers TWS. The simulator is free and the commercial version of
the software is only $89 a year which makes it very competitive.
The software is very well supported by a responsive and flexible developer.
This is another platform that I use for my trading through the Interactive
Brokers.
Other Tools for Success
Privacy
Crisis
Your privacy has never been more important and threatened at the same time
as it is now. And what's the best way to protect it? Simply, by being proactive.
But to this end you need to have the right knowledge. Over the last
several years, I have read quite a
few books about privacy and asset protection and related issues and,
quite frankly, practically all of these books disappointed. This
is not the case with Privacy
Crisis,
which is why I am recommending it highly here. While this book
is sometimes available in a hardbound format, it is much less expensive and
easier to get in its digital version right from its website. It
packs well over 300 pages of very relevant information which is hard or
impossible to find elsewhere. If you are a US resident, ignore this book
at your own peril. The sooner you equip yourself with the knowledge the
book provides, the better off you are going to be for the rest of your
life. This is one of those rare books that can really make a difference.

The
Secret of Deliberate Creation
I have recently come across writings of Dr. Robert Anthony and I must say
that they resonate very well with me. One of them,
I have recently posted in the Eclectic section of the site, so before you order this
program, which I highly recommend, you may want to check out this fine
piece of his. As someone who has worked on quantum theory (my
Ph.D. is in this field) I must say that I am not necessarily convinced
that quantum physics is the key to our future and if that really were the
consensus among quantum physicists they would have switched to being
personal trainers a long time ago. One of the most famous theoretical
physicists, Richard Feynman, put it best: I can safely say that nobody
understands quantum mechanics. Therefore a bit of skepticism is highly
warranted when someone is trying to make more out of quantum physics than
can really be justified. Speculations are acceptable, both in science and
in its peripheries, but the real progress is made by concrete
applications. Having said that, I must add that I have found the work of
Dr. Anthony to be of exceptionally high quality and I am convinced that
many will find his program very useful.
