Blogging ... I have not posted in this section for a while, three months or so, which may seem unusual, but it really is not if you take into account that I shifted my activity that, at least partially, was focused on this section elsewhere. This other place is my blog which has pretty much replaced the Eclectic section, but goes a bit beyond it as well. It addresses things that I would not talk about in this section simply because other sections of this site were more appropriate for it. I don't find Facebook particularly suitable for this kind of posts, but blogs are just fine. I prefer blogs, anyway. I follow some of them, but don't follow anyone on Facebook. Or on Twitter, for this matter, even if Twitter seems better suited for this purpose. And I say so even though I have my own Facebook and Twitter accounts and use them from time to time to broadcast what's going on on this site and in my business. I understand the Twitter appeal, but I find it hard to understand what is so special about Facebook. Collecting friends? Both Facebook and Twitter are excellent for marketing, but I am not big on this. I think that people who are most likely to be successful with what I offer are smart enough to find me through some other channels. Blogs, on the other hand, allow for a greater range of expression that may combine marketing as well. You cannot do this with Twitter because of its obvious 140 character limitation, and doing it on Facebook is not cool enough for me. It's just does not sit right with me. So I will stick to my blog.
