Want to live longer? Here is one good way to accomplish this. It's quite simple even if not necessarily very easy: win a Nobel Prize! It turns out that Nobel laureates live on average 2 years longer than their competitors. One can wonder what contributes to this. I think at least three major factors. Obviously, you will have all this guaranteed, once you have won that "Swedish prize," to use the words of Richard Feyman, a brilliant theoretical physicist and a man who did just that. Sadly enough, he was also one of those for whom the rule in question did not apply. He passed away when he was only 70 years old after a longer battle with cancer.
