Everybody likes to hear about big lottery jackpots and big lottery wins, so I thought that this section would be cool and quite appropriate for those who like to play the lottery and almost everybody does from time to time. Heck, why not?
The lottery news is the second most exciting kind of news right after the plane crash news. With hundreds aboard... Okay, okay... I am just kidding. But the similarity is there. It takes the same kind of luck, the wrong kind in this example, to find oneself aboard a plane to crash as it takes to win the lottery. And some people are more likely to hit the wrong plane than the right lottery... Tough. I just hope nobody of you reading this will fall into this unlucky category. And here is the best way to ensure this: play the lottery as often as you can and be flown only if absolutely needed. The first of these things is probably even easier to do than the other. So get down to work. Big jackpots do not happen that often.

1. 8/27/07: Powerball Jackpot Reaches $300 Million
2. 9/03/07: Wicca Teacher Claims 1 Mega Ticket; this is so not "fair play:" manipulating gods should be forbidden as it is totally not fair towards atheists and agnostics.
3. 9/30/07: Valley woman cleans up in lottery; should a person who runs a cleaning agency be allowed to clean up in lotteries or, in other words, should professionals be allowed to compete with amateurs? I am not sure this is really okay...
4. 10/09/07: Lottery win for 10 childminders; interestingly enough, the win was predicted by the husband of one of the winners who had dreamt about it the night before the drawing, which is probably the best evidence yet that husbands can sometimes be useful...
5. 12/31/07: College student quits school after big lottery win; after winning the lottery, many men decide that it's the highest time to upgrade their girlfriend, so it's really refreshing to see someone who chooses to downgrade his education instead. I still think, though, that upgrading one's girlfriend is, like, much smarter...
6. 2/03/07: A convicted bank robber wins $1 million; so it looks like that practice of robbing banks did pay off eventually, eh? If I were him, I would also write a book "How to be a lottery gangsta."
7. 2/25/07: Georgia couple win $270 million lottery; so that's the people who got my 10 bucks or at least a good fraction of it; okay, enjoy it because my turn is next! Yeah, the next big jackpot is all mine. Watch me!
