HOME Eclectic	John McCain's humor A joke told by Senator John McCain, the almost certain Republican presidential nominee, is making Democrats furious. Again... because the joke was originally told nearly 10 years ago. And since then McCain has reportedly apologized for it, so bringing it up now is nothing more than a smear campaign against him. And blatant hypocrisy on their part too because if they are really so appalled by the joke, why the heck are they repeating it? The truth is, this time it's them telling this joke and not McCain. Grow up, people! Are you really so dumb not to realize that?!! Here is this joke. "Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno.” I think the joke was funny. Yes, it was tasteless and even more tasteless than funny, but so what? Who says tasteless jokes can't be funny? Okay, I know who: politically correct sheep. It was a clear hint at Hillary's rumored bisexuality and Janet Reno's not so great beauty. Chelsea, the poor baby, was more of the collateral damage here than anything else. Should we really feel sorry for Chelsea, though? Chelsea is a privileged kid, the daughter of former US President, Bill Clinton. She can get virtually any job she wants. With all the perks she can possibly dream of. Can you? I doubt it! And if she really does not want to work for a living, she has nothing to worry about either! It's in the best tradition of humor to poke fun at the privileged. And not to feel sorry for them! So what exactly is their problem? The way I see it, the joke is on them. That's right, on them! Except that they are clearly not bright enough to realize that... But, hey, what do you expect from the people who have lost two presidential elections in a row to the worst president in the recent US history. And the fact that they are so worked up about the joke 10 years old means that they are still struggling to get a firm grip on the so called reality. Incidentally, I don't really think that Chelsea is that ugly. It's amazing what cosmetic surgery can do these days even in the most hopeless of cases. So don't cry for her, America. Cry for this homeless man with his teeth long gone that goes to sleep on the mean streets of New York or Los Angeles having eaten nothing the whole day. Cry for him...
