Discounted or Insured?

As of July 5th, 2006, I offer more than one pricing option for some of my systems. They can now be purchased in two versions: discounted or insured. The difference between them is in that the latter being insured comes with a somewhat bigger price which however should not come as a surprise because insurance costs.

The insured version of any of my systems gives you the right to a full refund (minus a small return fee) if using the system for 12 months with one contract or for 6 months with a pair of them did not pay for the system. The details of this are always spelled out in the FAQ for each system.

The nice thing about the guarantee the insured version gives you is that you do not need to trade the system with real money. It's enough to just papertrade it. However, you would need to start trading (papertrading) the system within a year since its purchase for the guarantee to remain valid. You would also need to start trading the system under appropriate conditions (in a significant drawdown) that take place at least once a year, but usually often than that. Finally, to qualify for the money back guarantee you would need to show me the log of your trades whether actual or simulated which I would then examine.

The great thing about the discounted version is not only its lower price, but also the fact that it frees you from the hassle of keeping your log and me from the toil of checking it, which is one of the reasons why I introduced this option. Let's face it: most people really dread this kind of paperwork and so why not try to avoid it if you can. The other reason is that as a libertarian I believe that a greater freedom to choose is always a good thing.

It is also in this spirit that I decided to offer an even bigger selection of purchasing options. Namely, from time to time I will combine some of my systems and sell them as a single product at a price lower than the combined price of their discounted editions. Again, except for the money back guarantee, nothing else is missing in these systems. They are in no way inferior to the systems in the higher priced products. You pay less because you buy more. It's as simple as that! Such combos will be offered on a somewhat limited basis and only from time to time, so you may want to take advantage of them sooner rather than later. Good deals do not last forever.

To really simplify things and offer even more choice in the form of very low priced systems, the systems costing less than $50 will be offered without a money back guarantee.
