George IV Compared I did not create this section to brag about how good George IV is. Nor to justify its pending price hike from $200 to $250. I created it to merely put things in perspective. See some picture right here. It shows the performance of some swing emini system that trades ES. As you see from its performance, you would have made about $820, which may be a bit too unrealistic because I think one should use $30 for commissions and slippage for regular trades, but that's a minor thing. This profit was made over 20 months with a swing system that holds its position over a few days and not with a day trading one. Swing systems are supposed to be better than intraday ones. They aim for bigger targets, after all. What's the point of using more funds ($15,000 per contract in this case), if your profits are not going to be better than for intraday systems? Now, check out how Bill has been doing for the past 7 months or so and see how George IV compares to the other system that is supposed to be better, as I said. And to get access to the other system, you would need to lease it paying probably not less than $100 a month (a low estimate, I think), so that would amount to $2000 per the period featured in the picture above, which means that to break even you would have needed to trade with 3 contracts, risking $45,000 of your money. Well, George IV may not be the best system out there, but it definitely is better rather than worse. Now, the other system is not that bad. It's kinda average, closer probably to "kinda" than "average," but that's not such a bad system at all. Also, I did not choose it to ridicule it. There are many worse systems out there that can cost you about as much as this one. Plus, this system was designed by a fellow that has been running some online trading advisory for nearly 10 years. Now, I think this should have given you some perspective on things. Or at least, I hope so...
