KING - My e-mini trading results in 2013 - I can do it too!

This section features the sixth year of my day trading results with KING with, among others, 23 samples of a continuous full week and 7 periods two weeks long or longer (even 3 periods of 3 continuous weeks or longer).

Trading on the last day of this year
emini trading results #557

The daily range of this trading session has yet to exceed 50 points as of about 1 P.M. EST. Yesterday it was even smaller, only 30 ticks, and that's really small, so no wonder I did not squeeze even $100 out of it. I also started trading rather late yesterday, but that's not unusual for me. I did not report this tiny result here, but you can see it posted on Twitter. As a rule I report here only the days when I reach at least $200, with some exceptions, for instance, when I want to report a full week of results or to make some point. Consequently, not all my trading days are reported here even if they are good, but definitely most of them. Well, I reached my daily target today and since this market is rather slow, I am not sure if I will be trading any more on this New Year's Eve. If I do, you will see the updates in my Twitter feed. Happy New Year, everyone! I trust 2014 will be even more prosperous to you than 2013. Today is December 31st and that's the 154th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

So ... so ...
emini trading results #556

But it could have been worse. I started trading rather late today. I did not sleep well last night. I tried some supplement to improve my sleep and got some flu like symptoms out of it. Really odd. And it was only a simple amino acid called glycine. Gotta love the body chemistry. That's why I am a physicist. Physics works. Chemistry is a mess. Happy holidays to everyone! And hopefully next year is going to be better, maybe we will get the economy rolling as it used to. Today is December 23rd and that's the 153rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Almost perfect trading
emini trading results #555

When I talk about "perfect trading" I mean days when I do not add to my position even once. Today I did add once, in the next to last trade. Not that it was necessary, but I thought it might help. It was a pretty slow day, overall, but good nevertheless. I posted 7 tweets with my trade updates today again, which you can also see on the updates page. The number of my Twitter followers has just reached a minor milestone, 150 of them! Feel free to add to this number if you wish and you can also follow me at my personal Twitter account and I will reciprocate it. More about it in this article or in my last blog post. Today is December 19th and that's the 152nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

emini trading results #554

Yet another good day. I did not get much sleep last night and my stomach was bothering me too, a strange habit that I definitely do not encourage, but can't talk the silly stomach out of either. As a result, I wasn't sure if trading today was such a good idea, but I made up my mind when I saw that strong move after the FOMC announcement. It's dangerous to trade around the time of the announcement, but once the strong trend that often follows in its aftermath is established, it's pretty dumb not to take advantage of it. And so that's what I did. I jumped on this volatility bandwagon for a ride with a few trades, including three quickies. I posted several tweets (7, to be precise) with my trade updates, which you can also see on the updates page. And so it was yet another good day. Today is December 18th and that's the 151st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

150!
emini trading results #553

That's the 150 daily e-mini futures trading report posted this year. I may still post a few more by the end of this year, but not that many. Not that many days are left in this year either. I posted a few screenshots like that to my Twitter feed again today, in near-real time, the practice that I have been continuing since May 22nd this year, if I am not mistaken. But now you can also access my tweets from the updates page. Or simply follow me on Twitter. Today is a rollover day and I traded the new contract. That last trade could have easily been a 10-pointer or even a 40-pointer. I was expecting it to be at least a 10-pointer, but with about 30 minutes left in the session, I did not feel like holding to it. Silly me. Today is December 12th and that's the 150th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

The 23rd full week
emini trading results #552

Today I am posting much earlier, during the trading session. Less than 15 minutes of work, slightly over $200 in profit. Days like that do happen from time to time too. If you use KING. I am not sure if you can do this with other trading methodologies, and rather doubt it. It has to be a discretionary methodology, I believe. It's very hard to do something like that with a mechanical system. I posted two more screenshots like that to Twitter today, 3 in total as of this writing, so the total result is even better. These days you are more likely to find complete results on Twitter than here. It's much easier to post there than to this static site. It's also easier to post to my blog, so no wonder that I have already posted there. You can find links to my Twitter feed in older posts below or on my contact page where you can also find the link to my Blogger blog. Today is December 11th and that's the 149th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Better late than never
emini trading results #551

I am posting it late, over 8 P.M. my time. I was pretty busy during the day and a bit pre-occupied during the trading session and the results reflect it a bit, I am afraid. But all's well that ends well. In the past, I would usually not post results with that many contracts (18 in this case), but this year I am posting more than usual hoping to reach 150 posts. These years, I don't trade much more than 150 or so days a year, plus minus 20. That's enough for me. I am not rich, but I am enjoying a certain kind of freedom that is dearer to me than money. The freedom of working from home on my own terms. I did not post to Twitter today either. That's a rare exception as I post there virtually every day, and have been doing so for over 6 months now, but it may happen that I will not post there if I am too busy to bother with that. Today is December 10th and that's the 148th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

550!
emini trading results #550

That's the 550th daily e-mini trading results report since about the time I launched KING about 5 years ago. Perhaps not the prettiest or most impressive of all you can see on these pages, but that's not important. It's the statistics that matter, and those are good. Next year is the last year I am marketing KING. It will have its own forum soon that is bound to survive it and serve the trading community at large, so that's about the last good time to get it particularly given a pretty generous holiday discount. Today is December 9th and that's the 147th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

549
emini trading results #549

No complaints this time. Well, that 7-pointer could have been a 10-pointer, as I wanted it to be originally, and that 4-pointer could have been a 5-pointer, as planned, but who cares about small things like that. Notice two 10-pointers, and one quickie. Now that's what I like! Those 10-pointers were inspire by George IV. Yes, this bad boy gave a very strong signal today again! You may want to check out this article for more about why it's a great idea to own this system. Or this one to find out more about its more recent performance. Or you can wait until I raise its price if you believe that only expensive things are good. I don't. Though I do believe that KING is worth much more than the paltry $1,500 I charge for it and if I ever decide to offer a full-fledged vendor service, it will cost at least a grand more. And the results do keep proving its worth. There are already almost 550 of them posted in the e-mini trading results sections that span many years. Of course, buying it is not enough to benefit from it, that's merely the first and the easiest step to tap into what it has to offer. Incidentally, George IV just delivered 60 points. Nice job, Mr. IV. Today is December 6th and that's the 146th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Not a good start, but ...
emini trading results #548

It's the finish that matters. The first trade was a bit uncertain from the very start. Its chances were not so good as a long, probably worse than as a short, but its potential could have been greater and so I was betting on this hoping that even if the market initially moved against me, it would find support nearby (there was some reason to expect that). However, the market strong adverse momentum convinced me to reverse my position, increase it to 6 contracts to recoup the loss fast and ... even go for 15 ticks. Well, the last idea was a bit of an overkill, but it would have worked eventually. Unfortuntely, Mr. Market decided to meander a bit, which made me add to my position (I know this tricky bastard and his evil, deceptive ways very well), and to exit it with 10 ticks of profit. Then I took a few mores trades to the total tune of slightly over $400. I posted 4 screenshots in near real-time to Twitter as I do virtually every day these days, not always as many as today, but quite often even more. Not a bad day overall, even if a bit of a downer at the beginning. Today is December 5th and that's the 145th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Good start in December
emini trading results #547

After a longer holiday break, I am back in action. But I seriously doubt you will see a lot of trading reports here this month. I do need to finish the KING forum and that's what my main focus is going to be this month and maybe even next one. I had to wait a bit with this project once because of some health issues, but also because the software that I want to use for the forum is still very new and there are very few hosts for it. In fact, the one I am using is not even based in the US, though their servers are in here. Another good day, probably not a big surprise, as the market was trending nicely and down. Even George IV gave a very solid signal today and it may actually deliver some goods; it's still about an hour to the close as of this writing so I am not sure if this is going to be the case, but at some point it came very close to its target of 60 points. The system is only $150 and I do believe it's a good start for everyone who wants to be an e-mini day trader. Today is December 3rd and that's the 144th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Well, one more time
emini trading results #546

Before this Thanksgiving, a few days away only. That's also the last screenshot I posted to Twitter today, the third one in a row. And did I mention that I posted 8 the last time around? On November 20th, which still was not even close to my record that is well over 10. Probably 14 if I am not mistaken. That is, 14 Twitter posts in one day, all with some screenshot showcasing the most recent trade along with the previous ones that day. Today is November 25th and that's the 143rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Very tight range
emini trading results #545

But that's hardly a problem for KING. I squeezed out 25 ticks (per contract) from this 17-tick range. That's pretty good. The market was very congested. In fact, when I opened my charts this morning, what I saw looked dispiriting quite a bit, but at least there was some pretty clear bias in the 5-minute chart, and it was the upside bias, so I went long on all my trades and that was the right decision. I posted this screenshot to Twitter right away after the 5th trade. See my older posts here for my Twitter feed URL (or the contact page) or, say, this article, one of the few about posting my trading results on Twitter. Today is November 20th and that's the 142nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

New formula for $200 plus
emini trading results #544

You can also call it 6-12-6. It's a nice formula, if only because 6 is the first perfect number and 12 is the first abundant number. I talked about numbers like that on this site and on my e-mini futures blog, but let me revisit this theme once more, probably not the last time ever. Today is November 19th and that's the 141st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Trading like a lion
emini trading results #543

As documented with 6 trading updates in my Twitter feed (for the link to which see one of my older posts here), and some comments to the same effect. Still trading like an ass? Well, maybe, just maybe, it's about time you started trading like the king of animals. But for that, I am afraid, you may need to get yourself KING. Today is November 13th and that's the 140th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Poor start but ...
emini trading results #542

still a good day. The last two trades could have been 5-pointers, but I was cutting corners a bit because I did not have that much time left.Today is November 12th and that's the 139th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Friday trading
emini trading results #541

Not so bad, especially with that first trade that was a nice 10-pointer. Today is November 8th and that's the 138th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Still more
emini trading results #540

Ten perfect trades, six reports on Twitter in near real-time. The first three were quickies, with 4 in total! Yesterday George IV gave a very good signal to the tune of over 20 points, which I talk about on my blog in some greater detail. I cannot recommend this system enough. But it's KING that really is the way to go. Today is November 7th and that's the 137th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Another month, another good start
emini trading results #539

I started trading later than usual because I had to take care of some KING orders. KING's price is going up again over this weekend. It will be $1,400 next week and $1,600 next year. Nice 10-pointer, this first trade, isn't it? With 6 contracts that was easy money if there is such a thing, but with KING, once you have mastered it, it can be. At least, from time to time. Today is November 1st and that's the 136th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

135
emini trading results #538

I was not sure if to trade today, but eventually did it without trying too hard, just three trades, enough to get me $200 plus. That's the 135th daily e-mini trading report this year and we are also close to their total number of 540 counting from the start about 5 years ago. While George IV did not give a signal today, it came very close to it, at least in spirit, and had you entered the market at the right time, as suggested by this system, you would have scored 60 ticks, which is what the system aims to do. I just wrote a new article highlighting some of its qualities and reasons why it makes sense to own it. Today is October 29th and that's the 135th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

22-7-3
emini trading results #537

22 full weeks, 7 stretches of 2 weeks or longer, including 3 stretches of 3 weeks or longer. That's the meaning of today's headline. I have also matched the number of daily reports posted last year in last year's section of e-mini day trading results, if I am not mistaken. It's time for a break, perhaps even a longer one. Today is October 28th and that's the 134th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Tough monkey ...
emini trading results #536

That is, tougher than Mr. Market. This old bastard did his best to fool me today, but I am still a winner. I should have stayed with that first reversed trade to see it through to its target of 12 ticks that I intended for it to recoup my loss on the previous trade. Unfortunately, the market got stuck in a tight range, it barely moved for 30 minutes, and then it attempted to drop, but that was a fake move, the type of moves you get a lot in a low-volatility market. I went for a short then and that was wrong, so I reversed it, added a bit to my position and went for a longer ride again. That 10 contract position took me to $180 and the last short got me over $200. I slept less than 6 hours last night, so that is another reason for this performance, but all's well that ends well. And let's not forget that I am trading almost three weeks without a break and I like more frequent breaks. Fortunately, tomorrow starts another weekend, practically it starts today. Today is October 25th and that's the 133rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

535
emini trading results #535

My original daily report got deleted when editing the post for Friday, the 25th, so I am only posting a picture again. I guess that was a long week. The mess like that have not happened before, but with 535 daily reports since the launch of KING this had to happen eventually. Oh, well ... Today is October 24th and that's the 132nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Losses don't have to be big
emini trading results #534

Even if they happen, thay can be contained to 5-15 ticks per contract in the overwehwlming majority of situations. Losses bigger than that are optional (as most things in discretionary trading are) and will occur only rarely and even if they do, they can still be compensated by equal or bigger gains rather easy to produce, particularly if you can also increase your size as shown by yesterday's screenshot. Today is October 23nd and that's the 131st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Losses are only relative
emini trading results #533

With two examples to prove it from today's trading session. It was a pretty volatile day, so I managed to score 30 points (per contract) on one trade while losing about the same amount but with fewer contracts on the preceding one. George IV gave a very solid signal today, which convinced me to switch to a long position eventually, though the market has declined quite a bit from its intraday highs indicating that it may continue dropping, which was the reason I initiated this first short and clinged to it a bit too long. But that was not the case until the market almost retested the highs of the day and then dropped erasing the almost 60 points in profit from the George IV's signal entry, but still leaving 15 ticks of it as of the daily session close at 16:15 EST. Yes, losses are only relative and that's the issue that I broached a few times in the past in this very section and which probably deserves a special article, but at some other time. Today is October 22nd and that's the 130h day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

21-7
emini trading results #532

That means 21 full weeks and 7 fortnights or even beyond in some cases. That's a brief summary of my daily trading reports this year so far. The market was a bit congested, so I was waiting for a right moment to attack and put on a 6-contract position hoping to score a 10-pointer. Well, that might have been possible, but that trade was taking too long, so I adjusted my target to 8 ticks, enough make over $200 on this very first trade of the day. I was hoping the second trade would also be a 10-pointer, but that turned out to be an even taller order. From now on, expect only sporadic posts here, say once a week, as I really need to focus on the KING trading forum, first and foremost. Today is October 21st and that's the 129th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Back to YM
emini trading results #531

Feeling pretty sluggish today. Once, because it's yet another Friday, but more so because I took Melatonin last night in an attempt to adjust my circadian rhythm a bit. While I am a devout night person, I was recently falling asleep as late as 3 AM my time, which is rather late even by my standards, the standards of someone who rarely goes to bed by midnight. Unfortunately, it seems that this Melatonin (only about 250 micrograms) made me a bit sluggish resulting in a subpar performance, though still okay overall. That loss on my 9th trade of the day was the result of adjusting my position, which I unfortunately did at the time my entry was triggered. This can happen from time to time, but it is only a minor annoyance.Today is October 18th and that's the 128th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

ES this time
emini trading results #530

Just to show you that you can trade this market too, not surprsingly at all for it mirrors YM pretty closely, though the latter is more dynamic. But you may prefer ES as having a larger tick value. I prefer YM for the opposit reason, I like its finer tick size. I was trading 2 contracts at first, then switched to a single contract because I was running some errands at the time and did not want to risk too much. Today is October 17th and that's the 127th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

NQ, anyone?
emini trading results #529

Yes, you can trade NQ too with KING. While it may not move as close to YM as ES does, that can hardly be a problem. Once you have trained yourself with KING, you should be able to trade many other markets, other than YM for which KING was developed or ES on which it was also tested extensively. I never doubted it, but I prefer YM and that's what I trade pretty much exclusively. I have not traded NQ for years. I don't think I have traded it before since the time I launched KING to the public about 5 years ago. But I have traded ES on several occasions since then and you can see the results of that in the years past in other e-mini trading results subsections of this site. PRH, whose review of KING you can read in the Testimonials section, used to trade some foreign (non-US) futures markets and found out that KING worked for those markets quite well too, which is yet another confirmation that it works well for markets not related to YM. I did not post anything to Twitter this time around as it took me too long to reach $200, so I decided not to post at all.Today is October 16th and that's the 126th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Another very good day
emini trading results #528

Today I am posting here my last Twitter screenshot as opposed to the first one as was the case yesterday. I posted 8 of them there yesterday and 10 today. Not too shaby, but not particularly close to my record of 14, if I recall it correctly, Twitter updates in one day. All trades on the short side, which is my preferred side, but also was the right one today as the market eventually dropped like a rock about the time I took the last 2-3 trades. There are 3 quickies in this screenshot, one example of which is the last trade, only a few seconds in duration. That's the power and beauty of KING: very fast trades. Today is October 15th and that's the 125th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

A bigger size and target ...
emini trading results #527

But only one trade today, at least so far. Enough to meet my daily profit target of $200. The market was pretty overextended, so that short was a no-brainer. I have been plagued by some intestinal problems over the last year or so and whenever they return (after a break that usually does not last more than a few days), I may trade less once I have met my profit target. Today's report completes yet another full week of daily e-mini futures trading reports, the 20th week this year alone. From now on, I will most likely post here only sporadically as I have to finish my forum project this year too and if trade more today you will see the updates on Twitter (for the link to my Twitter feed see one of the older entries here). Today is October 14th and that's the 124th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Too many things on my mind ...
emini trading results #526

Just like yesterday, which partially explains all those losses over the last two days, so it's good it's another Friday and a weekend. If you have other things on your mind, they will always interfere with your trading, sometimes it's not as bad as it may look here, but that's only because I am an experienced trader. Those less experienced may not even realize that they are affected by that, though they will find this out sooner or later. I started trading rather late today (not ususual for me), but what's worse the market had a pretty long run-up prior to that and had entered a range, which can be a bit of challenge at times. Today is October 11th and that's the 123rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

525!
emini trading results #525

That's another milestone of sorts, screenshot number 525 since I have started the daily e-mini trading reports here nearly 5 years ago. Plus another good day and another day with a few screenshots posted to Twitter in near real time. But I got myself into a hole of $150 after abandoning a long position and going short at some point, which was a bad idea, particularly because George IV was screaming long. And that's what you get for ignoring its advice. Fortunately, I reversed my position again, added to it and stayed the course until it finally hit 10 points. George IV would have scored you 60 points today quite easily and even 120 points had you waited a bit longer, but the main reason I still offer it is because it can give you an excellent bias to trade with and as today's example shows, you are better off not ignoring it. Overall, I did not ignore it, because as you can see from the today's screenshot, I was firmly on the long side, just as Goerge IV would have you. Check it out and perhaps it will encourage you to buy KING. Today is October 10th and that's the 122nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Not exactly late
emini trading results #524

At least compared to yesterday, but still pretty good. Not that the time of the day really matters. And with as many as 3 quickies to boot. Traditionally, I posted a few screenshots to Twitter today. I did so yesterday too. This tradition is many months old already, but I have yet to see another vendor to be doing the same on Twitter. For the link to my Twitter feed see one of the entries below.Today is October 9th and that's the 121st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Late birds rule
emini trading results #523

As you can see from the picture above. With two quickies to boot, the first two trades. But you can do well with KING even if you one of those early risers.Today is October 8th and that's the 120th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

How to make $200 with only 1-2 contracts (3)
emini trading results #522

That's the last part in this trilogy of how to make $200 with only 1-2 Dow e-mini futures contracts. That's also the end of yet another full week of results, the 19th such a week. I might go for 20 weeks this year, but that's about it. The KING trading forum that I have been planning for this year has to come eventually too. I posted 2 screenshots with my trading results to Twitter once I had reached $200. Today is October 4th and that's the 119th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Smaller size, still good results
emini trading results #521

Usng a single contract again as a starting position and not exceeding more than a handful of contracts (4 at the very most) while sticking to a 15-20 tick stop-loss. About an hour of trading, nearly $500 in profit! Another good day during which I posted a few screenshots with my trading results to Twitter once I had reached $200. Today is October 3rd and that's the 118th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Back to a more liberal size
emini trading results #520

But I started to build my position from a single contract and sometimes I could not add to it as the market moved my way without any pullback that would warrant adding to the initial position. I posted a few screenshots with my trading results to Twitter once I had reached $200. Today is October 2nd and that's the 117th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

How to make $200 with only 1-2 contracts (2)
emini trading results #519

That would be part two of how you can make more than $200 with only one or two, at most, contracts keeping the tight stop of 15 ticks and targeting a few ticks (from 5 to 10, but sooner exits are to be considered as well). There were two losers today, but the first reversal could have reached the target of 5 ticks. Alas, I wanted to go for 10 ticks. Bad idea, you greedy bastard, but things worked out okay over time. As yesterday, less than 2 hours of work, more than $200 in profit. I posted a few screenshots with my trading results to Twitter once I had reached $200, probably 4 in total.Today is October 1st and that's the 116th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

How to make $200 with only 1-2 contracts
emini trading results #518

I sometimes get asked by the prospective KING clients why I don't trade with only 1-2 contracts as I used to in the early days of KING. I talk about things like that in this article, also conveniently linked to from the right panel on this page so it's hard to overlook it, and the short answer is that my trading style has changed (not uncommon among discretionary traders). For instance, I now start every position with 2 contracts and may at times build it considerably by adding to it, but most of the time I never end with a position bigger than 4 contracts (more than 80% of the time) and only very, very rarely do I carry as many as 10 contracts per position or more, though this may happen too if I feel particularly adventerous or something. But obviously, you can still trade with only one contract as a starting position and do not increase your position beyond two contracts, which is what Katherine was doing shortly before I launched KING to the public. Nothing has really changed in this respect. Things that I could do before, can still be done and the results of today's trading attest to this nicely. Notice that even taking relatively big losses, I was still able to do very well when all was said and done, never using more than 2 contracts per position and sticking to the maximum stop-loss of 15 ticks. Again, what's not to like about it? I have posted this screenshot to Twitter today as well. Today is September 30th and that's the 115th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Nice 10-pointer
emini trading results #517

A neat way to finish the day that I thought would be shorter (tradingwise), but those 70 minutes (and some $500 in profit with only a handful of contracts) is not exactly a long day of work either. Again, what's not to like about it? I have posted 5 screenshots to Twitter today, see below for a link to my Twitter feed in more than one daily trading results report. Today is September 26th and that's the 114th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

4 quickies
emini trading results #516

Meaning 4 trades that did not take longer than a minute to reach the target of 5-10 in this market, the Dow Jones e-mini futures. 10 trades in total, all classic KING trades (no more than 4 contracts used) and 9 even perfect trades (no extra contracts used beyond the original 2). What's not to like about it? I have posted 6 screenshots to Twitter today. More about posting my results to Twitter in this article. Incidentally, there are only 10 copies of KING left and the price will go up soon. Yes, this moment had to come. But the KING legacy will continue, the forum is still to come, for instance. A trading room is possible at some point. Today is September 25th and that's the 113th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Better late than never
emini trading results #515

I really did not plan on trading today, but then again I changed my mind at the very last moment and took 4 shots, 3 of which turned out to be quickies, and was done in less than 20 minutes and with more than $200 in profit. What's not to like about it? Are you doing that well? Maybe it's time to give discretionary trading a try? And when comes to discretionary trading, KING has certainly a lot to offer, if I may say so. We have reached number 515 of the total number of daily e-mini trading reports posted here over the last 5 years or close to it. Today is September 20th and that's the 112th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

A 10-pointer that wasn't and another "lucky" 7
emini trading results #514

If you believe that luck has anything to do with it. And as today's trading shows, I was not that lucky at all, but that might have been my fault. I exited one of the trades with only 1 tick of profit (per contract) carrying 4 contracts in that position. Well, I thought 4 ticks was possible with that position, and indeed it was, only a minute or so after I had parted with that position. The 5th trade of the day was supposed to be a 10-pointer. I thought that was quite likely, but it was taking too long and I again exited it prematurely, but at least with 5 ticks of profit. But this time, I re-entered it seeing that the odds might now be better for another move down, and boy was I right or what!? It took omly 5 seconds for this sucker to hit a 5-tick target, so I did get my 10 ticks, but in two pieces. Overall, there were 2 quickies today. I posted 2 screenshots to Twitter today and the one here is the last one posted there. Today feels a lot like a Friday, so I am probably done trading. It may have something to do with the fact that I did not get much sleep last night, so I am a bit fatigued. This very screenshot completes yet another full week of trading results that started last Thursday (the rollover day). That's the 18th such a week this year, which means two more weeks beyond the last year's number of full weeks. Today is September 18th and that's the 111th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Not bad
emini trading results #513

Again not perfect, but that's okay. You don't have to be perfect. That's not the point of trading. But I must say that I amaze myself how well I do reversals. I don't think that's a very easy element of trading, and some people even prefer to exit with a loss and ponder what to do next instead of reversing, but I prefer continuous trading which is very much in KING's spirit. There is almost always something going on that can give you 5 ticks in profit. I posted a few screenshots to Twitter today and the one here is the last one posted there. I also posted some screenshots there yesterday beyond the yesterday screenshot you see here. I took 10 trades yesterday in total and you can see them all on Twitter. Today is September 17th and that's the 110th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

A better day
emini trading results #512

But not without a hiccup. That loser did not have to happen. And I could have reversed it sooner, but sometimes I wait for the market to give a stronger sign of strenght before I do it and I believe that on the whole that's a sound approach which also explains why my reversals are so successful. The last trade could have been a 5-pointer, but I gave up on it too soon. I was not seeing much strenght in this position, and indeed the market reversed soon after my exit. Today is September 16th and that's the 109th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Pretty much a toil
emini trading results #511

The market was moving slowly and in a pretty narrow range and then the fact that today is Friday the 13th must have spooked some too, which overall gave rise to a pretty boring day. I was afraid I might not reach my daily target of $200, but fortunately I somehow managed to do so. I posted some screenshots with my trading results to Twitter and that's the last one of them. Today is September 13th and that's the 108th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

A rollover day
emini trading results #510

The market was a bit less liquid than usual, which happens rather often on the rollover day in YM, but that did not cause any major problems. Yet another good day this time in the December contract. I posted two screenshots to Twitter as I often do these days, but not this one as I had to take a call and did not have time for that and since I try to tweet my results within 1-2 minutes after a trade completion, I decided not to tweet this last one. Today is September 12th and that's the 107th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

That's yet another full week of results
emini trading results #509

One more week than last year, so that's some progress, more longer continuous periods of results (2 or even 3 weeks long) as well compared to last year. The market opened with a gap and then stayed in a rather narrow range. Since I had to take some medical exams in the morning, I did not start trading until later, which is not so unusual for as I tend to start my trading after the noon or around it EST, being a night person and living on the West Coast. Another good day that completes another full week of results, the 17th one this year.Today is September 10th and that's the 106th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

I hate Mondays
emini trading results #508

Especially these days when I am having some sleep problems. Or may be it was just too much Tetris last night. I guess both. Whatever it was, the today's trading result was sub-optimal, though not bad overall. Now back to Tetris. I can be very competitive at games and stuff as you can see from my trading results, so I am now working on my new Tetris record. I am not necessarily a champ, but would like to get better. I hope my obsession with Tetris will not last too long, though. In the past, it was only a few days on several occassions. Today is September 9th and that's the 105th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

A wide range day
emini trading results #507

After a rather narrow range yesterday, the market dropped 200 points during pretty much the first 30 minutes since the daily session open at 9:30 EST, which means that we started with a wide range day. It then kept climbing and upon retesting the high of the daily session it started to decline, which is pretty much reflected in my trading bias today. First, I was long, then I was short. I took what looked like a heavy loss at some point, but the win that followed it was even bigger, so things quickly evened out and even improved overall. The remaining trades were all winners and all on the short side. I posted 5 screenshots today in my Twitter feed, pretty much in real time after completing a few of my trades. I talk more about posting my e-mini futures results on Twitter in these two articles. Today is September 6th and that's the 104th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Quite boring
emini trading results #506

After a pretty wide range yesterday, this market was rather bound to stay congested today. And that's what it did. I traded in a prety narrow range of only 27 ticks, so those 19 ticks (per contract) that I managed to squeeze out of this range is not bad. It was possible to get 5 ticks on the last trade, but I had lost my patience before that. Perhaps I should have re-entered. I have posted the screenshot you see above to Twitter first and I did so yesterday as well, more than once.Today is September 5th and that's the 103rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

After a break ...
emini trading results #505

I started trading when the market was more likely to begin declining after a stong run-up in the morning. That explains four successful shorts. I hope to post more this month than I did last month, but probably much less than in the previous months as I am now trying to focus on the forum that I have mentioned here and in other places on this site. But then again, in the past I too said that I would be posting less and I ended up posting a lot, so you never know. If the market is volatile, I may post more. Otherwise, things may be less exciting and I will be less motivated to post here.Today is September 4th and that's the 102nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

One of these days ...
emini trading results #504

Yep, that's one of those days. A day when you can make $200 or so with just 2 YM contracts and in only 10 minutes or so. Now, that may not happen too often, but trying to do the same with other, more traditional trading methodologies is virtually impossible. Yes, KING is different, the point I very recently (yesterday) emphasized yet again to one of newer KING students and here is something to prove my point. I know I should probably stress more on this site how revolutionary KING is, but I leave big words like that to my competitors. They certainly need them more for they simply have very little in terms of evidence that their methods work. So they need big words. Sometimes evidence speaks louder. Like most of the time. Plus, if you can't see that KING is much better than most stuff like that out there based on all the results and testimonials I have posted here so far and in copious amounts too, then you are obviously not going to see it even if I use really big words. I am still pretty much on vacation, but I may trade from time time to time, a bit less than usual. I posted this screenshot to Twitter as well, shortly after I was done with my last trade. The trades I took today are very much by the book or at least should be easy to recognize as such by KING students. I cannot say this about all the trades featured here, and I allude to this in this article as some may be more complex (involving more than one time frame, more speculative, more aggressive, etc.), but many are. Today is August 9th and that's the 101st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

As my vacation continues ...
emini trading results #503

As it continues, I will keep posting here from time to time, because if I don't some people think I stopped running my business and even send me e-mails wandering if everything is okay. Yes, I am okay, and if you want to order KING, you can do this at any time. Your order will be handled by me or someone else, but it will be. No need to worry about it. Yet another good day, just 3 trades, but enough to reach my daily target of $200. Today is July 31st and that's the 100th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

I thought I would be done sooner ...
emini trading results #502

I was ready to stop trading after the first two trades, but somehow changed my mind. I guess it was volatility that made this happen. Good volatility, that is. As you can see, the first trade was a bummer, to the tune of over $500. Nice hole, but things are relative, and being a theoretical physicist by training, I am not one of those people who might not know it. And, indeed, compared to the win on the second trade, it was only a relative loss. I have said it before here on a few occasions, and let me repeat it again, because that's worth repeating. You should fear small losses more than big ones, paradoxically enough. That's because big losses can be easier to recover from. A big loss indicates that the market is pushing hard against you and so by reversing your position (and perhaps adding to it), you can compensate for your loss rather easily. With small losses, there is no indication that something like that is likely. Small losses are more likely to be accidental. That's why I use rather liberal stops compared to my targets. There is nothing wrong with that. Things are not so linear, as most people assume. Questioning what many take for granted is one of the best ways to beat them at their game. I talk about things like that in KING materials and intend to emphasize them when the KING forum is finally up and running. There are two quickies in this screenshot, yet another indication of pretty good volatility. I updated one of my recent KING articles by adding a new video to it. It's about posting my trades on Twitter. I posted them there today as well, but fewer than usual, on three occasions only. Today is July 26th and that's the 99th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

I am on vacation ...
emini trading results #501

Well, kinda, just taking it easier, trading less, relaxing more. I expect it to last for a while. Being lazy is a virtue that should be practiced more often. Italians even talk about la dolce far niente (sweet doing nothing) and don't feel ashamed about it one bit. Not that they should. You can't just keep doing the same thing over an over and not get tired or bored, or, what's worse, simply burned out. Breaks are needed, so I am taking one. And it looks like it's a break with breaks inside (breaks from doing nothing), kinda fractal. I have again posted a few screenshots with my today's trades to Twitter, which I have been doing for weeks now. Notice that the last trade is a quickie (less than a minute in duration, that is), which is always nice. Not a bad break at all. Today is July 25th and that's the 98th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

500!!
emini trading results #500

Well, I sure was not expecting screenshot number 500 to be like that, but that's what it is. It could have been better looking, but it is not. Things always looks better in hindsight. I could have stayed with the first position a bit longer adding a contract or two to it to exit at 5 ticks. That would have been possible, but reversing it and doubling down worked fine too. The market was quite chaotic today and I was pretty sluggish too, so I should not complain. Not every day can be like those great days from this article, some will be tougher where your skill will be tested against the market randomness and if you prevail, it may still be more because of luck than skill. But luck is supposed to help a prepared mind. Check out this 5-minute chart of YM to see how all over the place the market was today. There was no clear trend or even a very clear bias. It took nearly 5 years to get to screenshot number 500, though during the first two years I was posting more sporadically than during the last two. There will not be another 5 years, one more year at most. Time for a break, I think, probably a longer one too. It's a vacation time, after all. Today is July 17th and that's the 97th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

499
emini trading results #499

After three slow trades that finally netted me over $200, I don't feel like trading much more today. First, it's another Monday and those could be cruel. Just like Fridays, except that even worse. I traded some more last Friday because the market was moving pretty well, but what exactly is my incentive today? Unless this market gets some legs, I am not going to bother. If I trade more today, you may see this updated in my Twitter feed, where I also posted a few updates last Friday. Yes, that's only one screenshot away from screenshot number 500! And it completes yet another full week (5 trading days in a row) of my trading results with KING, the 16th such a cycle this year, matching the number of full weeks traded last year. Today is July 15th and that's the 96th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

498
emini trading results #498

Pretty smooth today, but it's a Friday and I need to run errands, so that could be it for today: 5 trades in less than 15 minutes to the tune of nearly $250. All that in relatively slow market. What's not to like about it? If I trade more today (which is doubtful), I may post it to Twitter. Today is July 12th and that's the 95th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

497
emini trading results #497

That took some luck. I am talking about the 4th trade today. I was rather surprised that the market moved up that much and against me. I was expecting it to bounce off in an area of pretty heavy resistance and decided to build my position in anticipation of it. Well, the bounce really did not materialize, but with enough contracts (not really my record or even close to it), I managed to squeeze out some profit on a pullback. Things look much more obvious in hindsight, but even without it, I should have reversed my position on at least three different occasions. That was a bit of a lapse of judgment on my part or too much cockiness and stubborness. All's well that ends well, but that was pretty taxing mentally. Better to avoid in future. Today is July 11th and that's the 94th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

496
emini trading results #496

Very good day with as many as 7 quickies today out of 12 trades total. Not an absolute record (10 quickies out of 10 is the record), but one of today's quickies was a record one in its own right. It lasted less than a full second, with a target a bit larger than usual, 10 ticks. The 10-tick target is my original target, which I adjust when in trade, most often to 5 ticks. I keep the original target of 10 ticks for just this kind of situations. I have posted as many as 10 Twitter reports today, if I am not mistaken, starting with trade number 3. And I really did not stop trading after 5 trades yesterday as you can verify on Twitter, too, though I was really close to it. I thought I would take one more trade at most, but ended up with a few more. Some days start slow, but then they pick up the pace. Today was a bit like that too, but ended up on a much faster note with 6 quickies in a row among the last 6 trades. Today is July 10th and that's the 93rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

495
emini trading results #495

Only 5 more daily trading reports (or screenshots) to screenshot number 500. I was not feeling my best today (sweating for no apparent reason), so I stopped after 5 trades only. I don't want to push too hard on days when I feel out of shape. That rarely pays off, more often can backfire. I also posted this and another screenshot on Twitter. The first two trades were quickies, the next to last one was a bit problematic. It was possible to play this position in more than one way. I chose to stick to it anticipating a bounce on some "magic line" mentioned in these reports more than once already, and that did work out well too, but reversing this position with a few more contracts could have worked well too. In discretionary trading, there are times when you can do more than one thing and still do it well; actually do both well. Today is July 9th and that's the 92nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

494
emini trading results #494

Well, I guess that was another good day. I doubt I will trade tomorrow, but today volatility was too good to resist and these results prove it. Many quickies in this screenshot, too many to bother counting. And my brain is a bit exhausted too. Can you be "a bit" exhausted? It takes a real effort to perform well, no doubt about it. I don't talk about it a lot here, but today after the 17th trade I was not quite sure if I had 20 trades in me. I even made this remark in my Twitter feed, where I posted many screenshots like the one above. Today is July 2nd and that's the 91st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

493
emini trading results #493

That's yet another full week of results (5 trading days in a row) and this is the 15th such a cycle this year alone, so I thought I would also stop my trading on trade number 15 today. Not a bad day at all, though it started rather slow, but that often is a prelude to a breakout and I correctly anticipated this breakout to be on the short side which explains why all the trades today were on this side too. Not a single of today's trades involved more than 3 contracts. I like to refer to trades that use no more than 2 contracts beyond the original position of two as "classic KING trades." I talk about it in a recent post on my e-mini futures blog too. This is also a very good start for the month of July, but I think I might take a break now. It already feels like a long weekend here, though July 4th is still 3 days away. I posted quite a few screenshots like the one above in my Twitter feed again, in near real-time. I have been doing it for a few weeks now. Today is July 1st and that's the 90th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

492
emini trading results #492

That was a very good start, well over $200 in only 10 minutes with 4 quickies out of the first 5 trades to boot. Then I added one more. I posted the first two screenshots on Twitter, then the market took a deep pullabck and I had to add a few more contracts than usual, but considering how strong this morning trend was I was expecting the market to resume its ascent, at least for a while. I exited with 3 ticks, though, as the market seemed to stall in the area where the reversal was likely. Well, I may still trade some more, but it's yet another Friday, so I may as well start enjoying this weekend. Today is June 28th and that's the 89th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

491
emini trading results #491

Much slower pace of the market today, and so not much fun trading it. But then again, after two $1500+ days in a row (see my Twitter feed for that), perhaps it's good to take a break. And so that might be it for today. If I change my mind, you will see more screenshots in my Twitter feed. Like this one that I also posted there. Today is June 27th and that's the 88th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

490!
emini trading results #490

We are only 10 daily trading results reports from report number 500. This will be a major report for sure and I seriously doubt another hundred reports will follow it. Not many KING copies are left at this point and I will definitely not be selling it past 2014. The today screenshot includes 3 quickies, which is nice. Notice also how nicely I have switched from the short side to the long one and how I defended my first trade with a few extra contracts and it was a very right decision as the market would only go down from there. I may trade some more later today, but since I started rather early today (for me at least), I think I may need a nap first. Or a longer break. If I continue trading, you may see more screenshots like that in my Twitter feed where I have already posted a few screenshots today, including the one above. Today is June 26th and that's the 87th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

An imperfect ten
emini trading results #489

But it includes three quickies and two 20-pointers, except that one of them was a loss, but the other was a very nice win with 8 contracts to boot. Yet another good day, overall. I posted some trade screenshots on Twitter, 4 of them in total, but this one was not among them. For more about my Twitter posts, see this recent article precisely about posting my trade results on Twitter. Today is June 25th and that's the 86th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Ending yet another week
emini trading results #488

Another full week of results, which means 5 trading days in a row. The 14th such a week this year. Ten trades with many quickies (starting the day with one and ending it with three more) is certainly a very good way to finish this very good week. Volatility spiked over the last few days, enabling me to take more trades than usual (as many as 22 yesterday, see my Twitter feed for that or my Twitter gallery of screenshots there). I did not get much sleep last night again. Looks like my sleep got seriously disrupted, so I am feeling even more drowsy today than I was yesterday and I doubt I will trade much more today. But you never know. I do feel like taking a nap now. I have posted quite a few screenshots with my trade results on Twitter again, but I am noticing that doing so is interfering a bit with my trading, so I need to rein it in. Posting on Twitter can be addictive, I am afraid. Today is June 21st and that's the 85th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Some more quickies
emini trading results #487

Eight trades in like 40 minutes. Not bad. When volatility is good, that's totally doable. In fact, even 10 trades in 10 minutes is quite feasible with KING under good volatility conditions. Three of those 8 trades were quickies, which pretty much confirms that volatility was good. A quickie is a trade that does not take even a whole minute to reach its target of 5-10 ticks in YM, the Dow e-mini futures. And not some other thing. I am feeling a bit sleepy this morning, so I am not sure if I take many more trades today, but hey, the basic purpose of this and related sections is to show how you can make $200 a day with just a handful of contracts, so I have more than met my goal today. I have also posted 5 screenshots to Twitter in near real-time. I have been doing it for weeks now. Today is June 20th and that's the 84th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Quite a remarkable day
emini trading results #486

Not bad, eh? The day was slow at first as the market was stuck in a relatively narrow range when I started trading. Yet, I managed to sculpt 43 ticks (per contract) from this range of only 22 ticks, which is almost twice the range. That's the first 8 trades. The last 4 trades are all quickies! But that's not all as far as quickies go, there are two more of them, shortly after 2 PM when the market dropped heavily following the FOMC announcement. Overall, 16 trades, all winners, no more than 4 contracts per position, 6 quickies. Is your trading teach that good? Or is he another mediocrity compensating for it by puking on people like me on that trading forum for losers? Well, there is actually more than one. More than one forum like that and more than one puke artist out there. Today is June 19th and that's the 83rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Another day
emini trading results #485

A short one when it comes to trading (like 20 minutes) as I have to see a doctor later today. But $210 in 20 minutes with just 2-3 YM contracts is nothing to sneeze at, either. I posted this shot on Twitter as well. We are only 15 screenshots away from the big one, the screenshot number 500! Today is June 18th and that's the 82nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Heavy drop
emini trading results #484

It was a slow day at first, but then things accelerated and the market dropped heavily, but not until it surged first and forced me to add to my 3rd short. I was not expecting it to rise much, that was a pretty fake move and I was right on the money again, as the market dropped over 60 points from there and I was able to add some more profits on the way down including one quickie. I posted 3 screenshots in near real-time on Twitter today as well, including this one. Today is June 17th and that's the 81st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

One more before the price hike
emini trading results #483

Started trading late today because of stomach problems. The last trade was a bit cavalier, mostly because it was quite late during the daily session and when going counter-trend you want to have a bit more time than I did on this occasion, but things worked out just fine and it could have been even a sound 20-pointer, so I was right on the money again. I posted another screenshot on Twitter in near real-time after the 4th trade of the day. Today is June 7th and that's the 80th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

14th full week of results
emini trading results #482

Yet another full week of e-mini trading results this year, the 14th this time around. With another quickie in this screenshot, and just before posting here, I added one more as you can see in my Twitter timeline. Let me remind you that the price of KING is going up on June 15th. A few people have bought it over the last two weeks, so you will not be the only one. Today is June 4th and that's the 79th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Good start in June
emini trading results #481

With a quickie, which is always nice. The market was pretty congested, but luckily volatility was good, so a 30 minutes of trading could produce over $300 with a standard number of contracts (2-4). I also posted this screenshot on Twitter, pretty much within a minute of completing the last trade. Today is June 3rd and that's the 78th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Very long
emini trading results #480

While I tend to go short quite a lot, on some days, it makes more sense to go long. Today was such a day and most if not all trades were by the book, the Book of KING, if you will. Almost $300 in 30 minutes, not bad at all. There is one quickie in this screenshot, the first trade that took only 10 seconds. It's another Friday, so I doubt I will trade more today, especially that I am busy working on my site, but if I do, I may post updates on Twitter as I have been doing so for several days now. Today is May 31st and that's the 77th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Two quickies for a good start
emini trading results #478

So that was a good start for sure. I also posted 2 screenshots on Twitter in almost real time, with only a 1-minute delay after my 4th and 5th trades. Here's my growing Twitter gallery. I keep working on the upgrade of this site and I am pretty sure that it will come by June 15th, the day the KING's price will also get its makeover of sorts, so don't delay your purchase. Today is May 29th and that's the 75th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Two full weeks completed
emini trading results #477

Another two full weeks of results completed, though the previous week was a tad underreported in this section with the results scattered a bit all over the place as mentioned by me here. So that's yet another fortnight (technically only 10 trading days, though), the sixth this year. This year, I am posting here at the pace of 15 reports a month, which is a very high pace for me, but I may slow down eventually. This week I also started posting my screenshots to Twitter, almost in real time. I just mentioned it on my e-mini blog. Today is May 24th and that's the 74th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Another eight
emini trading results #476

With some bigger size involved. Whenever I use bigger size (meaning ca 10 or more contracts per position, very rarely over 20) I base my trading decisions on the patterns in the 5-minute chart and build my position anticipating a reversal. I mentioned it a number of times here or on my Blogger blog also frequently referred to here. I did not expect the market to exceed the early high of the day and I was right as it struggled there bouncing off in that area on three different occasions. Today is May 23rd and that's the 73rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

475!
emini trading results #475

Another small milestone and only 25 daily e-mini trading reports away from 500. Two quickies hide in this screenshot. I took a break after 6 trades to post an early screenshot to Twitter and then to post on my e-mini trading blog about posting to Twitter and now I am wrapping it up here with two more trades added. I might still trade some more today or might resume working on revamping this site. And let me remind you once more that the price of KING is going up again on June 15th. Today is May 22nd and that's the 72nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Less than 10 minutes!
emini trading results #474

I took 5 trades early this morning (another early bird feat) and when I checked the results, I noticed that all this "work" took less than 10 minutes! I was surprised. I was not expecting it to be that fast. There are two quickies in this screenshot, one as fast as 2(!) seconds, not a record, but close. I posted this screenshot on Twitter soon afterwards and I might be doing it more often. That seems to be the fastest way to get this kind of information out. Posting it here is actually the slowest way, which explains why I often post updates on my blog and not here any more. Today is May 21st and that's the 71st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Nice 10-pointer
emini trading results #473

And a quickie. It could have been a 20-pointer. Or even a 30-pointer. That's how good it was. But I chose to be a bit more conservative, though I was anticipating at least 15 ticks on this trade. I then added another 7 ticks, but that too could have been easily twice as much. If I ever have a trading room, it will be for trades like that, 10-20 pointers. There could be only a few of those a week, but they are worth waiting for. An update with one more quickie was posted on my e-mini blog. Today is May 20th and that's the 70th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Rather boring ...
emini trading results #472

But still a good day. It was boring because I was stuck in a small range (of only 17 ticks during my trading), and the market was also moving like molasses (which often happens in a tight range). Because of this and because it's Friday, I decided to call it quits after only 3 trades. Still, those 15 ticks in a 17-tick range is pretty good. Incidentally, that's yet another full week of results (5 days in a row), except that this time there are only 3 daily e-mini trading reports here commenting on them, but four screenshots, one of them a bit hidden from the view. One more report is on my e-mini blog (including a screenshot as well), so all has been recorded as usual allowing me to claim yet another full week, the 12th this year. Today is May 17th and that's the 69th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Early bird treat
emini trading results #471

It's rather unusual to find me trading before 11:00 EST (or before 8:00 AM my time), but it can happen from time to time, more often during the warmer months, when the sun rises earlier. Notice two 10-pointers in this screenshot. Now back to revamping this site. I am making progress, but if you consider that I have been building this site for nearly 8 years, then it may take 2-3 months to revamp it. Still, I am hoping to publish its new version in June, at the latest. My e-mini futures blog has an update to these results. Today is May 16th and that's the 68th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Two "mismanaged" quickies
emini trading results #470

Actually, only one. The first one. I meant to swing for a 10-pointer, but mismanaged the target (set it to 11 instead of 10 ticks, and before I was able to correct it, the target was hit - at the very high of the day at that time, so that was pretty lucky). The other quickie (a 6-pointer) could have been a 10-pointer too, but I changed my mind and went for 6 ticks instead, so I "mismanaged" it in a way because 10 points was possible on that trade, but not 10 points and a quickie. Anyway, another good day, and while I don't post here as often as in the recent past being busy working on revamping this site, I continue trading pretty much as usual (here is a screenshot with yesterday's results). I traded some more later on, as you can see from my e-mini blog. Today is May 14th and that's the 67th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Yet another one
emini trading results #469

Nothing spectacular, just another good day. I could have turned those 2-3 pointers into 5-pointers, but ..., well, I guess, I didn't. But that's okay. Not every trade has to be a 5-pointer. Sometimes, it's better to be safe than sorry. I traded a bit more after posting this screenshot and updated the results on my e-mini futures blog. Today is May 8th and that's the 66th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

It did its job
emini trading results #468

The bigger size, that is. It could have been a 10-pointer, and I was anticipating it, but I chose to play it a bit more conservatively exiting my 14-lot position with only 5 ticks of loot (per contract). I am very busy working on revamping this site, so not much posting is taking place here. I also don't have much time for posting on my e-mini trading blog. I do hope to finish this rather boring job by the end of this month or by June 15th, at the latest. It's also on June 15th that the price of KING will go up again and then again when the KING forum is launched in the third quarter of this year. I like to keep my promises, so the forum will come. And so will the price hikes. I think that KING with the forum is totally worth $1,500 while still being a lower-priced product compared to its competitors. I added two more trades as you can see on my e-mini trading blog. Today is May 3rd and that's the 65th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

I discovered the buy button
emini trading results #467

Actually, I re-discovered it. As they say, if you don't use it, you lose it, but it turns out that my buy button is still there. That's nice. It might have as well taken umbrage and denounced me on some trading forum as a buy button hater or something. But it's still there. I traded in a pretty small range of only 23 ticks, which explains why I did not get a chance to add to my position in any of these seven trades. But the result is still quite impressive: over $300 with only 2 contracts per position within just an hour or even slightly less. Nothing to sneeze at. To look at this still differently, it's 36 ticks out of a 23 tick range, which is quite good. Time and again I hear from prospective KING students. They ask all kinds of questions. That's fine, I understand it, I don't mind answering them, but look at the bigger picture. Look at the fun of it! You may succeed with KING or not, and I cannot guarantee you will, as that's against all the right disclaimers that apply to this business, and the same is true regarding KING's competitors. But I can guarantee one thing: if you do succeed with it, it will be much more fun than trading using any other methodology. Just look at all these results ... Today is April 25th and that's the 64th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

This magic line again ...
emini trading results #466

As I mentioned here, probably more than once, I sometimes build my position in anticipation of a bounce off of some "magic line" that KING students should know about. Today this line was close to another important line where the market can also be repelled in a stronger trend, so when two such lines occur close to one another, your chances of reversal in this area increase. That, in essence, is what trading is about, and that's what I stress in the KING manual and in many other KING materials: capitalizing on higher probability trading opportunities. You don't need to use as many contracts as I sometimes do, you can play it differently, but that's something left to trader's discretion. Anyway, that's yet another good day. I am now posting here less often as I am busy working on a new version of this site, and until I am done with it (hopefully and most likely by the end of May), I doubt that I will be posting here as often as before this year. Basically, enough to let you know that I am not dead, but then again, there is plenty of these screenshots here already. Yesterday, the market experienced a Twitter flash crash and the Dow e-mini dropped over 100 points within a minute or so. Well, I was not trading around that time, but had I chosen to do so, I would have been heavily shorting so might have only benefited from the flash crash. As you see, KING indicators can keep you on the safe side of the market most of the time, including situations that can lead to crashes like that. "Most of the time" is the key phrase here, no one can guarantee you the absolute safety in the market, not even those who offer double the money back guarantee, there is always risk involved. Today is April 24th and that's the 63rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Half a grand
emini trading results #465

In 45 minutes, and with two quickies to boot just when I practically lost my hope for a quickie at all. On some days, all you need to do to make $500 or so with just a handful of contracts is to keep hitting the sell button for an hour or less. Amazing, but something you eventually just get used to. I took a break from trading for two days to file my taxes and stuff. Since I am working on revamping this site, I will probably be posting here rather sporadically until I am done with this rather boring task. This year, I have been posting here at a higher rate than in previous years, anyway. I traded some more and posted an update on my e-mini trading blog. Today is April 17th and that's the 62nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

4 consecutive full weeks
emini trading results #464

That's my new record in the trading continuity category, so to speak. Unlikely to be repeated soon as I like to take a break now and then, but it's good to try something different from time to time too, to push your limits. Not too often, as that too can get boring or even dangerous, but a bit of a challenge from time to time is not a bad thing. Of course, being a day trader you face a challenge virtually every day, that's why adding yet another challenge may already be too much to ask for and a threat to facing your primary challenge of making money. This 10-lot position was built in anticipation of the market to bounce off of some magic line that it had bounced against in the morning, so that was no fluke. Things like that can be rather predictable. Today is April 12th and that's the 61st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

YAS
emini trading results #463

And that stands for Yet Another Sandwich. My next headline, since I am clearly running out of good ones, I suspect, will be Y,AS, which (obviously) stands for Yay, Another Sandwich. Yes,  that was a sandwich as I started with a quickie and ended up with a quickie. Back to work on my site ... And for a tasty double sandwich see an update on my e-mini trading blog. Today is April 11th and that's the 60th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

My mind was elsewhere
emini trading results #462

But it's still not bad. I keep working on revamping this site, and I noticed that I was very preoccupied with it when trading today. Fortunately, that did not cause any major problems, but I felt a bit slow at times with my trading decisions, most likely because of that. For instance, the first two trades could have easily been 5-pointers, but on the other hand, I was probably right being cautious as I did not see much upside for the long positions and, indeed, the market reversed quite sharply soon, on my fourth trade, which was also a long. Today is April 10th and that's the 59th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Taking a break on a long side ...
emini trading results #461

Totally long today. The market was trending up pretty nicely, so why not. Now I am back to working on revamping this site. It's pretty boring indeed, so I had to get my trading "fix" in the morning first. Today is April 9th and that's the 58th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Taking a break ...
emini trading results #460

I wanted to take a break from trading (and posting here) to focus on revamping this site, but after 3 days of working hard on it, I decided I needed a break (at least a short one), so I am back to posting. Life, it appears, may actually be just a sequence of breaks from things we prefer not to do at a given time. And that is, if you are lucky. If you are not, you do things you hate doing. But enough of this philosophy. Another good trading day, started a bit later because I was working on this other thing in the morning. Today is April 8th and that's the 57th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Three full weeks again
emini trading results #459

The second time this year. Three consecutive weeks (15 trading days in a row). Time for a break, I suppose. I was nibbling quite a bit today. With the exception of the last trade that was also a neat quickie, all other trades had reduced targets. They all would have reached the standard target of 5 ticks, but I was trading in a rather tight range with a relatively slowly moving market, so I thought that reducing the targets was appropriate. Plus, I started trading a bit later than usual, so did not want to get stuck in some trade taking forever as I did not have much time for that. When I am writing this I see the market moving up fast after bouncing off of "the magic line" in the 5-minute chart. I am working on revamping this site. I have been procrastinating a lot with that expecting it to be a pretty boring task. It largely is, but not as boring as I thought it would be. "Action creates clarity," as some wise man once said. And that's true, indeed, also in this case. I hope to be done with that in May at the latest, and then the KING trading forum will come. Today is April 5th and that's the 56th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

One of those bigger size days
emini trading results #458

It did not have to be like that. I could have reversed that last short at the time I had only 5-6 contracts on (and that would have been a good decision, in hindsight), but considering a pretty strong downtrend, the fact that yesterday was a wide range day (so today was likely to be a narrow range day) and a pretty heavy overhead resistance, I was expecting the price to bounce off of some "magic line" in the 5-minute chart. Well, the market did eventually pull back, but it took me a bit more contracts than usual to tame it. A 5-tick target was quite doable, though, but I decided not to push that hard. Anyway, all's well that ends well. Today is April 4th and that's the 55th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

An hour and a sandwich
emini trading results #457

It's a sandwich because I started with a quickie and ended with a quickie. And don't ask me what an hour is. Today, I refused to feed that parasite, Mr. Market. Seven clean shots. Might trade more later, but now gotta run. I finally started working on a new design for this site. I have had it for a while, but the devil is in the details. This is a pretty large site, which is the main obstacle to revamping it. For 3 more quickies, see an update on my e-mini futures blog. Actually, I added still one more quickie after yet another break, but you can check my blog nevertheless. Today is April 3rd and that's the 54th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Good enough
emini trading results #456

One more evidence that I suck at long trades, but you don't have to be perfect. Plus, you want to give Mr. Market some satisfaction too or else he will quit the game. I posted an update to this screenshot on my e-mini trading Blogger blog, as I occasionally do. Today is April 2nd and that's the 53rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

A 10-pointer to open a new month
emini trading results #455

And a quickie to end today's trading. Not a bad day at all. That 12-lot trade was okay too. I thought it could even reach 10 points (and it did), but I decided to cash in sooner. I expected the price to bounce off of some "magic line" in the KING 5-minute chart and that's what it did. Not the very first time, anyway. Today is April 1st and that's the 52nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Slow pre-holiday trading
emini trading results #454

I wanted to quit it after 3 trades, but decided to keep at it. Things can always change for the better. They did not until practically the last 45 minutes of the daily session. The market had an upside bias, but I did not see much of an upside potential for it, so I chose to short it. That might not have been the best strategy, but it was not the worst possible either. The main reason it was not the best strategy is that you may end up in a trade that takes forever (like that 6-lot position) and you often want to abandon it the moment you are showing some profit because you cannot take it any longer. Since this is the last trading day before Easter, I did expect this market to be slow, which it was, but fortunately all ended well, though I had to use a few extra contracts (to the total tune of 10) on one occasion, but that's hardly a big size even by my standards of a relative piker. That 10-lot position just like the 6-lot position could have reached the default 5 tick target as well given some more time. Today completes yet another two weeks of daily e-mini trading results (meaning 10 days in a row), the fourth such a trading spell this year. I think it's time for a break. Today is March 28th and that's the 51st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Not bad, but...
emini trading results #453

Could have been better. I woke up rather late and was not quite sure if I should trade today. This sort of reflects my performance today, which could have been better, but it's still okay. You don't have to be perfect. As long as what you do is not totally screwed up and you can execute it without doing too much damage to your account (when things do not work out), you will do fine. At least, most of the time. I should not have been pushing that next-to-last trade so hard. I wanted 5 ticks, but it was good for only 2-3 and I should have exited it sooner. Fortunately, the reversal was good. I wanted the last trade to be a 10-pointer and it could have been easily had I stayed with that position for another minute or so. The market looked wobbly, though, so I exited it at 6 ticks only. Overall, not bad, but could have been better. Today is March 27th and that's the 50th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Twice the range
emini trading results #452

Amazing! These 26 ticks (per contract) came from a range of only 13 ticks that I was trading in. I think that's my best result range wise. And the last trade was a fast quickie (only 10 seconds in duration). Today is March 26th and that's the 49th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

451
emini trading results #451

Another Monday, another good day. I am posting this basically to see if everything is fine after a recent GoDaddy upgrades that might have affected this site as it is hosted on GoDaddy.com servers. The market was trending down strongly, so shorting it was no problem. Notice 2 quickies in this screenshot. They have not been uncommon lately again as the market volatility has gone up, but I am mentioning them less often, so perhaps it's a good idea to do it again. An update with a cool 20-pointer was posted on my e-mini blog later on. Today is March 25th and that's the 48th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

450!
emini trading results #450

I was not sure if I should post this, but what the heck. It's not typical, but I am using a bigger size more and more often (probably a sign of my trading style evolving), so why not do it. However, the main reason I am posting it here is that there is some lesson to be learned from what this screenshot number 450 shows. See these two losses? Well, they did not have to happen. I could have closed that 5-lot position at 3 ticks or could have stayed with it a bit longer to close it at the intended target of 5 ticks. But I got tired of waiting for the market to move my way and since the 5-minute chart was indicating (rather barely) that the market could now move up, I used it as a poor excuse to reverse my position even if the 1-minute chart was suggesting that the downtrend was more likely. That was the fatigue of staying long with a trade on a Friday afternoon when you may really not feel like trading very much. And then I had to reverse it again, this time paying attention to what the momentum was telling me and decided to increase my size quite a bit, so that I could compensate for my two losses. I was pretty sure that the market was going to move my way now. And it did. I did not know, though, if 10 ticks was a safe target (it was), because the market could bounce off of some "magic line" in the 5-minute chart (it did eventually), so I reduced it to 8 ticks. I then took two more short trades rather cautiously to cross $450 (for symbolic reasons). And that's the story of today's trades. As you can see again, all's well that ends well, and two losses in a row don't have to portend a bad ending, especially if you are able to use a bigger size to compensate for them. That's one way I use a bigger size. Another is to build a position in anticipation of a reversal at some level. I could have done it today too. I could have refused to take the second loss and instead could have kept adding to that long position in anticipation of the bounce on the magic line mentioned. This should tell you that in discretionary trading there is more than one way to skin a cat and I have mentioned it in these trading results sections on more than one occasion. But I think that going with that downside momentum was the right decision, probably less risky than building a long position. I guess it's time for another break. I really need to revamp this site no matter how badly I hate this task as incredibly boring. Today is March 22nd and that's the 47th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

It could have been better
emini trading results #449

But I was stuck in a rather narrow range, which eventually expanded with the market moving down. Those last three 3-pointers could have easily been 5-pointers as intended but being preoccupied with other things I was not patient enough. That's yet another full week of results. I am posting at the rate of 15+ screenshots a month so far this year, but I doubt this will continue for the remainder of the year. Last year I posted at the average rate of 11+ screenshots a month and I expect this year to be similar in this respect to the previous one. Last year was much more intense than the previous ones. I see no reason to make this year even more intense. Those who have what it takes to succeed at day trading e-mini futures had plenty of evidence that KING is a solid trading tool already years ago. Those who don't will always want more evidence. Looking for excuses not to succeed is a rather poor way to success. Practice is the way. We are also only one screenshot away from screenshot number 450. An account of today's extended results can be read on my e-mini trading blog. Today is March 21st and that's the 46th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Back to normal
emini trading results #448

Yesterday was a pretty wide range day (over 130 points), so no wonder that today we are having a slow narrow range day. I was trading in a range of 17 points only, but somehow managed to get almost 26 points out of it, which shows how good KING can be in small ranges too. For an update to these results, please check out my e-mini trading blog. Today is March 20th and that's the 45th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Bigger size, anyone?
emini trading results #447

I rarely trade with more than 6 contracts per position (and usually with 2-4 only), but it is possible to trade bigger size with KING too. The screenshot above is thus my answer to those who sometimes ask me if one can trade bigger size with KING. When I do this, I rely mainly on the 5-minute chart and build my position starting with 2 contracts. That's one way of doing it. Another is in reversals to quickly compensate for the loss on the previous trade or two. But that does not happen too often, so that's the main reason you don't see something like the thing above here often either. Plus, the purpose of these results sections is to show a performance due to only a handful of contracts as this is the number many of my clients feel most comfortable with. Hence, this screenshot is an exception of sorts and you may never see something like that here again. The 24-lot position is my new record. I did not have to go beyond 20, but I thought that doing so was not particularly hazardous. Today is March 19th and that's the 44th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Not bad
emini trading results #446

But I should have been more aggressive in the last trade and with that 6-contract position, both could have been 5-pointers easily. Heck, even 10-pointers. But things always look more obvious and easier in hindsight. Overall, I can't complain, though. Today is March 18th and that's the 43rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

One more in March
emini trading results #445

I took a break from posting here. Just as I said I would in my previous entry. Nothing unusual. I did that in the past on more than one occasion. I will definitely do this in future too. I also took a break from trading for a few days. Taking breaks is important. More than many people realize. It's as important as keeping your diet varied. It prevents boredom and trading can be pretty boring. When it becomes too boring, you may end up doing really dumb things to make it more entertaining. It's simply better to take a break. Or to seek some other form of distraction. Anyway, yet another good day, but rather slow. Today is March 15th and that's the 42nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

444
emini trading results #444

A much better day than yesterday, though I got stuck in my first trade for what felt like hours, and ended up adjusting the target to 3 ticks right before a big price drop that would have easily delivered 10 points in just a few minutes that followed. Oh, well. Things happen. The price was moving pretty normally today, meaning the volume of transactions is pretty much back to normal. Let me recall that yesterday was a rollover day. That's one more day beyond two consecutive weeks of results, so I think it's time for a break, perhaps even a longer one. The price of KING is going up again this month and then again to $1500 when the KING forum is up and running. Today is March 8th and that's the 41st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Moving like molasses
emini trading results #443

This Thursday was another rollover day for the US index futures contracts, including YM, so I traded the new, June 2013 contract, today, that was still pretty thinly traded, and the result was an incredibly boring and frustrating day, but victorious nevertheless. The older contract seemed to be moving much more smoothly and I regretted switching to the new one all the time. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, assuming I am trading. However, despite the market being stuck in a tight range of 24 ticks during my trading session, I managed to make 27 ticks per contract, which is very good. And I even had one incredible quickie that took only 5 seconds! Today completes yet another sample of two consecutive weeks of results posted here, the third such a sample this year. Today is March 7th and that's the 40th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

So easy...
emini trading results #442

Even a caveman's kid could do it. I was betting on the market breakdown and I got it. Well, another good day. Today is March 6th and that's the 39th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Early bird?
emini trading results #441

Only very rarely do I trade before 11:00 EST, but sometimes I do. The market had a pretty long bias this morning and this bias is likely to last a bit longer. That explains why half of my trades were on the long side, and I think that more probably should have, but you can trade long and short even in a rising market. George IV gave a strong signal today, we'll see if it is on the money. I may talk about it on my blog this week. Today is March 5th and that's the 38th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Twenty minutes?
emini trading results #440

Wow! I did not really realize that it took me only 20 minutes to reach $200+ because the market seemed a bit slow today (compared to the recent pretty volatile days), but that's what it really took. I might still trade some more today. One quickie to spice the day and one loss on the long side that I took very wisely and quickly compensated for. That's about it, but still a very quick way to $200+ with only a few contracts. Five days like that and you have paid for KING. Today is March 4th and that's the 37th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Nice sandwich in a new month
emini trading results #439

The new month being March. It's a sandwich because I started with a quickie and ended up with a quickie, actually with three quickies in a row. Altogether there are 5 quickies in this screenshot. It's not exactly a thousand bucks, but close enough. That's the best result this year of those officially featured here, though not as perfect as this beauty or even the one featured in this article. Today is March 1st and that's the 36th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

What a mess
emini trading results #438

Relatively speaking, that is. Certainly by the standards of this performance, but overall it was yet another good day. However, it took me 9 trades to finally break into the positive territory and I had to use a bit bigger size than usual, but nothing larger than 10 contracts per position. And notice that I ended the day on a very high note: with a quickie and a 10-pointer, so not everything that starts bad has to end bad. Perseverance is a key. I was not feeling like trading this morning, expecting a tight range after the yesterday's wide range day, but that was not necessarily the case. That's yet another full week of results that started last Friday, the sixth full week of results this year. Time for a break? It feels like that. I added two more, and two more quickies as well. Today is February 28th and that's the 35th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Who says I cannot trade on the long side
emini trading results #437

I can. Even pretty well if conditions are right. Today was a strong upside day, which I largely missed because of some errands but still managed to squeeze out some good profit in the last hour of trading. And I could not resist taking at least one short. Today is February 27th and that's the 34th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Really round number
emini trading results #436

Actually, three of them: 500, 100, and 600, but the first one is the most important. I rarely reach for 10 contracts in my trading, but simply could not resist today. I was so sure that Mr. Market was bluffing that I had to. But even with 2 contracts I would have scored a victory on this trade had I waited patiently till the end of the trading session. I started trading rather late today. After yesterday's very wide-range day, I was expecting a narrow range, so I was not particularly inspired to trade, but fortunately volatility was good, so even an hour of trading was enough to get over $200 (with a pretty hefty margin to boot). I was celebrating well into the wee hours my 30/30 day (see also the previous note), which was another reason why I was slow to get it going. The second trade today was a quickie which is always nice. Today is February 26th and that's the 33rd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Good volatility
emini trading results #435

Six trades in about half an hour, and three of them did not last even a whole minute! That's a sign of good volatility. I may not be finished for today, but I have made over $200, so I thought that taking a break was well-deserved. Indeed, I was not finished with my trading at all as you can see from the final result, which I intend to talk about in some detail elsewhere on this site, but you can also check out my latest blog post that talks about it too. Today is February 25th and that's the 32nd day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Ending a good week
emini trading results #434

With just three more trades, but I also traded yesterday, though I did not post about it here. However, I mentioned it on my blog that extends what I post on this site, in its e-mini trading results sections, in particular. I also traded some more on February 20th, the day that marked a new milestone of sorts (see my previous entry). I will write about it in some other place, probably next week, so stay tuned and enjoy your Oscars' weekend. For me, who lives in Tinseltown, that's just heavier traffic than usual. Today is February 22nd and that's the 31st day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

3 full trading weeks
emini trading results #433

That's a new milestone. I have never before posted 3 consecutive weeks of results (or 15 trading days in a row), but that's history now. One of the results during this 3-week spell does not ordinarily belong here, but I made an exception for it due to some educational reasons. I mean that paltry $41 result from February 12th. Nearly $300 in profits in less than an hour of trading! So, how is your trading teach doing? Better than me? Showing some real trading prowess or perhaps maligning his competitors on that trading forum for dipshits and losers? Probably the latter. The market dropped 37 points between the time I opened my first position and closed my last one. You know how much points I have squeezed out this range? 33 (per contract), which is more than 80% of that range. Just don't mention this to your trading teach. It might upset him and he might actually start taking trading lessons from me. And that's the last thing I want to be doing. I may still trade some more today, but I did my $200 (or more) for the day, so I thought I would post this news during the break I am taking. Today is February 20th and that's the 30th day of e-mini trading results with KING this year.

Do the right thing
emini trading results #432

That's the key: do the right thing at the right time. That's the key to trading success, in my opinion. It's not always easy to do the right thing, especially twice the same day and in a row, as was the case for me today. Twice today I had to reverse my position and after the second reversal I was sitting in a hole of about $30, but as you can see, the second reversal led to a 10-pointer and got me out of that hole easily. I then added some more profit with a smaller number of contracts. Well, that was a tough day, the market being stuck in a small range and pretty slow. Yesterday was the President's Day and the US stock market exchanges were closed for the regular session and the e-mini futures markets such as YM or ES closed very early, so that really was not a day for day traders and hence I did not trade. Today is February 19th and that's the 29th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Really, really nice trades!
emini trading results #431

Check out those last two trades. The next to last trade was a quickie (less than a minute in duration, that is) and the very last trade was a powerful 10-pointer that took only about 2 minutes. The price dropped more than 40 points, so it was no fluke. Gee, ain't this nice? And, to boot, all this took place on a Friday, a day I am usually not much in the mood for anything that has to do with work and I have been told not to be alone in this respect. So that's yet another great KING performance. I don't understand why I am still keeping its price at $1,100. When my site is revamped and the forum is up and running I swear to take a sweet revenge on all those losers who did not buy it at $1,100 or even at $1,300 (the last regular price of this course). Incidentally, if I ever have a KING trading room (no promises at this point, I need to get the forum first, but it's possible), the trades I will be selecting will be like the last one. There is some formula for trades like that. The first trade belongs to the same category of trades as the last one and it too could have been a 10-pointer, except that due to a rather heavy resistance I chose not to push it that hard. Still, the target of 10 points would have been reached, if I chose to trade in a systematic way, except that with some price gyrations. Then the price plunged, but by then I had already been shorting with 4 contracts. Today is February 15th and that's the 28th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Sticking to my guns
emini trading results #430

Well, I could have reversed that next to last position, but I thought that I might as well stick to it considering the resistance against which the price was moving. The price bounced off the high of the day about 3:30 PM, a good time for a bounce. I even added two more contracts about that time in anticipation of the bounce, but I got out sooner (not waiting for 5 ticks of profit). However, even a 10 tick profit was possible. I then added a bit more with a smaller size. Just another day, using a slightly bigger size, but not much more than usual. In this rather congested, slow market, I am finding that using a slightly bigger size may be a must. Or at least it can help things a bit. It's the 12th trading day in a row, for those who like to keep track of things like that. Today is February 14th and that's the 27th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Pushing it hard
emini trading results #429

If there is one thing to blame for my rather poor and dramatic performance yesterday, it was that I did not push my trades hard enough, especially the very first one. Being aggressive pays off. I corrected it on the second trade, and even overstayed it a bit, but that's okay, because overall I was doing the right thing except that it was not a full success. It was a loss, but a "better" loss than the first one. Today, I took this lesson even more seriously and did push my trades to the hilt. Well, almost: that losing trade could have benefited from one more contract, but, again, I was not aggressive enough in this case. Of course, it's easier to see this in hindsight.  It's the 11th trading day in a row. Time for a break? Today is February 13th and that's the 26th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Big hole and yet another positive day
emini trading results #428

I hesitated to post this screenshot because that's not the type of the screenshots that I post here as a rule (as I explain in this article), but I decided to do so eventually. Ordinarily, I would not post this screenshot because the result is sub-par (way below $200) and because I used a much bigger size than I usually do. But there is something that you can still learn from it and that's the main reason I posted it here. What you can learn from it is that you can get out of a deep hole (mine was close to $600 after the first two losing trades) if you are not afraid to be aggressive and do the right thing without undue hesitation. That's what I did. I dropped 16 contracts at the time I was pretty sure the market had to finally go my way and I had a good chance to end up in the positive territory. I was actually aiming at 10 points, but the market stalled again and I got out with less than that. And then I still played it hard on the short side to bring the result comfortably above zero. There are days when you make a grand or so, but there are also days when you make less than $50 and still feel like a big winner. That's the 10th day in a row, so that's yet another 2-week long sequence of results this year. Today is February 12th and that's the 25th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Small sandwich
emini trading results #427

Started with a 3-pointer, and ended with a 3-pointer, so that's a sandwich, with the real meat inside. I traded in a small range of only 19 points, so those 26 points I managed to squeeze out of it make it a pretty good trading day. Well, that's probably it for today. Today is February 11th and that's the 24th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Tough monkey ...
emini trading results #426

Mr. Market can be a pretty tough monkey at times. But I am a tougher one, although at some point today I thought he won. Well, fortunately, the old fart lost it again and let me capitalize on a nice slide that I thought was long overdue during this session. But things were tough at first: my very first trades were just pitiful 2-pointers and what's worse they could have been 5-pointers had I stayed with my position longer. How long can you stay with a position that barely moves, though? Half an hour is about how much I can stand being in a trade like that. Then I reversed the third short and that turned out to be a losing proposition, so I had to reverse again, this time being pretty sure I was on the right side and was even aiming at 10 points with that 8 contract position. Well, I did not hold it long enough, because (again!) the market got stuck in a small range and I was afraid it may reverse again. But it did not and I went with the momentum and that was it for this silly, syphilitic monkey (as Bill Maher would put it) that is Mr. Market. One thing you might notice from my trades this year compared to those I posted last year is that I have more losing trades this time around. That's because the market volatility is lower and that's what's messing things up. Or, at least, I cannot think about anything else. But I am also posting more this year than I was about the same time last year. Today is February 8th and that's the 23rd day of emini trading results with KING this year.

425
emini trading results #425

I should have reversed the first short. But that's hindsight and I see no reason to apologize for sticking to this position because the odds of the market bouncing off of some "magic" line in the 5-minute chart after a heavy drop in the morning and a rebound were pretty good and that's what I capitalized on using a bit more contracts than I usually do, but nothing to be overly concerned about. I have traded with a bigger size before even if rarely, and in some cases it is indeed better to stick to your position and build it to a bigger size. That was one of such situations. But reversing that first short would have made a lot of sense too. That's the beauty of discretionary trading: you can make money long and short at about the same time, but with different approaches. This is the 425th screenshot of my daily results. Today is February 7th and that's the 22nd day of emini trading results with KING this year.

My secret long formula
emini trading results #424

Pay attention. I am going to reveal a big secret. Why am I doing so? Well, why not? Nobody is going to believe that I am revealing a secret, anyway, so I think it's going to be perfectly safe. Sometimes the best way to keep something secret is to put it in plain view. So that's what I am going to do. I just can't keep it secret anymore, I am practically suffocating from the need to divulge it, so I just have to do it. Here it is, my secret long formula: go long, take a loss, then reverse and add to your position. Works like a charm for me. I tried it twice today and I can't believe how well it worked. Anyway, just don't tell everyone about it. I really don't want to lose my edge with this formula. And, just in case, I am claiming my rights to the similar formula for the shorts, so that nobody steals it from me. Another good day, a bit rocky at times due to my two poor longs: the second one was merely ill-timed and I could have still handled it, but the first one was pretty bad, so no wonder that the reversal was a quickie. Notice also two quickies that are a testimony to good volatility and perhaps to my timing skills. Today is February 6th and that's the 21st day of emini trading results with KING this year.

I hate nibbling
emini trading results #423

Yes, I do hate it but I had no other choice today. The market was stuck in a very narrow range of only 15 ticks during the time of my trading, so I had to go for smaller targets. But look at the results: I squeezed out nearly 25 ticks out of this range of merely 15 ticks! That's not bad at all. How did I know that I should go for smaller targets. Well, you simply feel it. The price action tells you. My best price action indicator is my feeling. It's not perfect, but it's as good as any other indicator. Here is a screenshot of the 5-minute Sierra Chart chart showing where I started and ended my trading today, so you can see how narrow this range was. This screenshot completes a full week of results (5 days in a row), which is the third such a cycle this year. Incidentally, I traded some more later on as you can see from another screenshot posted on my blog. Today is February 5th and that's the 20th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Another strong George IV signal
emini trading results #422

Just like the last time around, except that this time the system lost a bit (as measured at the daily session close), but there was plenty of room to score on the short side, as the market tanked at the open. On one occasion, I used even 10 contracts building my position in anticipation of a bounce on some "magic" line in the 5-minute chart that happens rather often on strong trend days like today's. The bounce did occur and that 10-contract position might have easily reached 10 or even 20 points, but I banked my profits sooner and then added some more with a smaller position. Another good day, in part thanks to George IV. As I said in my previous note, I might re-activate this bad boy as a fully mechanical system or at least will accentuate that part of it that gives rise to these strong signals. There have been 4 such signals this year alone. But this may not happen until I revamp this site. Today is February 4th and that's the 19th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Longing for the longs
emini trading results #421

Yep, that was finally a day for the longs to shine. The market had a decisively long bias from the open and even George IV gave a clear-cut signal and is in the positive territory as of this writing (ca 1:30 PM). Incidentally, I am soon going to re-activate this system as a fully mechanical trading system, but limited to just one of two of its original strategies, the one that is easier to implement and likely to work better in these lower volatility conditions, so stay tuned for more about it and check the system page if you are interested. Trading on the days George IV gives a solid signal in the direction of the signal can be a very profitable proposition. The last trade could have been a 5-pointer (heck, even a 10-pointer given some more time), but considering the narrow range the market was stuck in at the time of my trading and one indicator that was signaling a trouble for my position (a bit prematurely), I chose to bank my profits sooner. I may still trade some more today, especially if volatility improves. And that's what I did. Well, yet another day over $200, the first day in the month of February, so that's another good start. Today is February 1st and that's the 18th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Ending the first month of this year
emini trading results #420

On a high note, I would say, with a result better than usual these days. And the last trade was a nice quickie. I used 6 contracts in one short position, which is about the normal maximum for me, betting that the market would revisit the lows of the day and perhaps even drop lower and, sure enough, I was right about it as the market did post a new low of the day in the last 30 minutes of today's daily session. I did not expect I would end up posting so much here this month, but next month I will most likely be less generous. Today is January 31st and that's the 17th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

The first FOMC meeting this year
emini trading results #419

Today I started trading an hour or so before the FOMC announcement, which traditionally takes place about 2:15 PM on a Tuesday or Wednesday, but this year all such announcements will be broadcast on Wednesdays. That one-tick losing trade was accidental: I simply messed things up a bit when trying to adjust my entry and as you see I re-entered almost immediately, exiting that re-entry shortly before the announcement in question that sent the market down eventually. I anticipated this based mainly on my charts, so I added one more trade for the total a bit over $200. Today is January 30th and that's the 16th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Late start
emini trading results #418

I woke up with a headache last night, could not fall asleep for a while, and then woke up for good with only an hour or two left in the daily trading session. Fortunately, the market looked like taking a short made a lot sense and that's what I did playing it with a higher than usual number of contracts, but still safely enough. This 8 contract position could have been a 10 pointer had I given it some more time to evolve, but time was a precious commodity at this point so I settled for what could have taken me above $200 for the day and then added some more with a smaller size. Not a bad ending of the week, and probably this month as well. I traded 17 days this month, and I rarely trade more than 15 days a month these days. Today is January 25th and that's the 15th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Not a bad day
emini trading results #417

Actually, the best this year. Volatility was pretty good and the market was trending down for a while, so I did well. I traded also yesterday and the day before yesterday, but since these results were sub-par I decided not to talk about them here. That's pretty much a rule (see the note on January 7 for more about it). Today is January 24th and that's the 14th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

A 10-pointer that was not
emini trading results #416

Actually, two of the long trades today could have been 10-ponters, but I did not intend the second long trade to be one. That first long was meant to be a 10-pointer, but after 20 minutes I decided that a sure profit is better than a  projected one. And only a few minutes later, the 10 tick target was reached. The market had a bit of an upside momentum, except that it would get stuck in a small ranges from time to time testing my patience a lot, but with good timing you could have made money on the short side as well and since that's my preferred side, most of my trades today were short. Lots of small profits, but that's okay. As long as volatility is relatively low, you should take what you can. Today is January 18th and that's the 13th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the thirteenth trading day in a row.

Long, baby, long
emini trading results #415

But I still prefer the short side and I do better shorting. That's why my short positions dominate long ones. However, today the market had a decisive upside bias and even George IV gave a solid signal (the target of 60 points was reached, but not penetrated), so I thought that trading on the long side made a bit more sense than usual. Nevertheless, my best trades (bigger targets) were on the short side. Still, the long side was not so bad either: the third trade (and a long one) was a neat quickie. Today the market expanded quite a  bit, the daily session range was nearly 100 points, which should not come as a big surprise as yesterday's range in question was only barely above 50 points. Small ranges are often followed by expansions and big ranges by contractions, but this is easier to spot when volatility is lower on average as it has been the case this year. Today is January 17th and that's the 12th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the twelfth trading day in a row.

Delayed gratification
emini trading results #414

While I am not into marshmallows (see Wikipedia for the Stanford marshmallow experiment), the importance of delayed gratification seems rather obvious in trading. For instance, the third position today would have easily reached the 5 tick target as intended and I simply knew that it would, and yet I exited sooner, mostly because this trade was taking quite a while (nearly 20 minutes) and I was getting tired of it. While taking smaller profits in a congested market is not necessarily a bad idea, sometimes you feel guilty about it if you know that you really should have exercised a bit more patience to get what you intended. But, hey, things turned out well again today, so I am really not complaining. I was just struck by my urge to take a profit sooner while knowing that the market was about to move in my favor to reach the original target which it did within a minute or so of my exiting this trade. I guess I need to get some marshmallows and place them on my trading desk to remind myself of the importance of delayed gratification. I may be getting flu or perhaps just a cold, so I am really close to a break unless things improve or at least don't get worse. The daily session range today was only slightly above 50 points, but I guess I have become used to it by now. Today is January 16th and that's the 11th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the eleventh trading day in a row.

Two weeks in a row
emini trading results #413

A much better day than yesterday, fewer trades, larger profits per position on average, and even one, somewhat lucky, quickie. What's not to like about it? But yesterday I had less time for trading overall, so that too could have played some role in my tighter targets. That something I realized only later. The more you trade the more subconscious, more automatic, your thought processes become. Time for a break? Perhaps. Or at least I will be posting sporadically for a while. I plan to revamp this site this quarter and then would like to start a KING trading forum. With well over 400 screenshots here, I don't think that posting ever more of them is such a high priority any more. Today is January 15th and that's the 10th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the tenth trading day in a row.

Chilly California weather
emini trading results #412

This chilly weather keeps my nose congested, but it's this congested market that drives me nuts at times. Today, I had five 3-pointers. I think there is nothing wrong about reducing the targets in this slowly moving market, but you still can't help but be pissed off when you realize that all of them would have been 5-pointers. Yes, all freaking five of them. But that's hindsight and you need to learn to live with that, even if sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge. Maybe I am too cautious, but today the daily session range was again about 60 points only, so I think I am rather justified even on a purely rational ground in being less aggressive than I usually am. Today is January 14th and that's the 9th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the ninth trading day in a row.

As predicted
emini trading results #411

I said yesterday that today we might have a tight range and so far, as of ca 1 PM EST, that has been the case: the daily session range has yet to exceed 50 points. Nevertheless, I still managed to squeeze out some $200 out of it, but a few times I was forced to reduce the target to less than 5 ticks, the standard KING target for YM, Dow's emini futures. Today is January 11th and that's the 8th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the eighth trading day in a row.

Good night of rest
emini trading results #410

I finally got a good night of sleep this year. I slept like a baby for over 10 hours. I was not sure if I should even bother trading today, on a nice warm, sunny California day, but what a heck. I did it at the eleventh hour. Perhaps better late than never. I usually don't trade early, anyway, being a night person who does not go to bed before 1 AM or so. Today was a wide range day. Well, sort of, not even 100 point wide measured as the daily trading session range (from 9:30 to 16:15 EST), but considerably wider than a few recent days, probably the widest range day this year. That's not surprising. After a few low range days, the chances for a wider range day increase. And since today was a wider range day, tomorrow we may be back to a narrow range day. When 100 points is a wide range that's also a sign that volatility is lower. Today is January 10th and that's the 7th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the seventh trading day in a row.

Another slow day
emini trading results #409

It was almost painful to trade this market. Very congested most of the time, with low volatility, which made things even worse. But, hey, it's not that bad. Yet, I was expecting the last trade to be much faster, perhaps even a quickie. It took over 10 minutes, though. Volatility expands and contracts, and now we are going through a period of serious contraction. The second loss was not necessary, but I wanted to play it safe. The first one was a totally right decision, though, that could only be faster. Today is January 9th and that's the 6th day of emini trading results with KING this year and the sixth trading day in a row.

A bit of drama
emini trading results #407

I was up over $200 with 4 trades when I took a heavy loss on the fifth trade. But if the market surges against you, that may very well mean that you stand a good chance to make up for your loss by reversing your position quickly and perhaps even adding to it. I said so a few times last year on such occasions, but I expect it to be right this year as well. While you may not learn the mechanics of my trading from my posts here (that's an acquired skill, after all), you may learn a few universal truths that are certainly worth knowing if you ever attempt to day trade. I was aiming at 8 ticks on this reversed position, and that would have been possible, but eventually settled for 6 ticks. There was also one quickie (a sub-1 minute trade), which is always nice. As you see, after a relatively poor day yesterday, I had a good day today, so not only "bad" things happen. Good can happen too, and with the right mindset and preparation, they are the ones you should expect much more often. Probably time for a break, I have not been feeling too well since the New Year's Eve, need to recuperate a bit more. Today is January 8th and that's the 5th day of emini trading results with KING this year that also completes a full week of results.

Not much today
emini trading results #407

The thing is that if you cannot make $200 with 5-6 trades and a handful of contracts within an hour or so, you are likely to end up with less than $200 for the day. This is one of those days, a sub-200 dollar day. Last year, I showed 4 such days, but this was only a sample and since days like that really do not belong here, I usually don't show them at all unless I want to make some point. The point usually is that days like that will happen from time to time, too. That's unavoidable. The first trade was pretty good, a quickie, but then the market got stuck in a tight range and I got tired of that after an hour or so. The tight range forces you to work harder, to pay closer attention, and after a while you feel fatigued. It's probably best to call it quits after a few trades on a day like that, particularly when volatility is also low as was the case today. The daily session range was not even 60 points. Today is January 7th and that's the 4th day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Tenacious monkey?
emini trading results #406

Well, I should have stopped after the fist 6 trades or so. But that's hindsight. The market was pretty congested, I was being sluggish (for no obvious reason), and there was not too much room for shorts which I prefer in the market that had a definite upside bias. All's well that ends well and being persistent does pay off, but in future I swear I will have a nap when faced with a similar situation. I did one thing very well, though. It was taking that small loss on the second trade. That was where the market reversed for good, never looking back. I should have gone long there too, but, again, that's hindsight. You can trade well without it, though, and that's one more piece of evidence for that, exhibit number 406. Today is January 4th and that's the 3rd day of emini trading results with KING this year.

What a nice result!
emini trading results #405

It's $222 on the second day of trading this year. Quite symbolic, I would say. One more 2 is hidden in this screenshot: the quickest trade of the day lasted exactly 2 seconds! There were 3 quickies altogether, trades 2-4. I got lucky because the market dropped suddenly big time, so I was able to ride this drop down pretty well. If you want to see what was going on in the market when I was trading check out this 1 minute chart of Dow emini (YM) with arrows showing when I started  and finished my trading. Today is January 3rd and that's the 2nd day of emini trading results with KING this year.

Tough market on the first day of trading
emini trading results #404

The market was stuck in a pretty narrow range after a gap up in the morning and some run-up that followed. You can see how bad it was from this 5 minute chart of Dow emini (YM) with arrows showing when I started  and finished my trading. Really tight range of only 18 points! I had to lower my targets because of that, but given more time the initial 5 tick targets would have been hit on all the positions. Still, I managed to squeeze 22 points (per contract) out of it. But you don't want to be on the mercy of Mr. Market and you play as the conditions allow. So, that's a good start of the New Year overall. Last year I posted over 130 screenshots here. I somewhat doubt I will beat it this year, but hopefully I will reach at least screenshot #450. I am starting with screenshot #404. Today is January 2nd and that's the 1st day of emini trading results with KING this year.
