HOME Eclectic	Traffic, clicks and cash Yes, it is possible to make money on the Internet with a website that has some content to offer. Mine (bragging not intended) is a good case in point.   The content itself is, obviously, not enough to capitalize on the ads that you see here. Without traffic even the best website will remain simply largely undiscovered. You can see here that the number of pages viewed by visitors to this site has been growing. While this graph does not really show the page views, what it does show is a good measure of the thing in question. The bigger the column the chart displays, the bigger the number of page views and the bigger the number of ads shown. And the more ads are shown the more likely it is that some of them are clicked on. This translates into cash as you can see here. Now, while these paychecks are not huge, they show a growing trend and they can pay for food and basic utilities of a single man who lives modestly. Meaning, yours truly.  It is true that most people visiting these pages are real slackers when it comes to clicking on the ads (and I am sure they will burn in hell for that!), but that is partially my fault too. The thing is that this site has too much content and so people do not focus as much on the ads as they would had this site been a typical 'Adsense optimized' site with rather superficial information and prominently displayed ads that people are practically forced to click on as the site itself has little info to offer. I might be exaggerating a bit here, but the point is that too much content is not so good either as it takes attention from the ads.  Fortunately, there are some ads that most people find irresistible. For instance, everything that is related to Beverly Hills, where I had a pleasure to work for a few years, and live very close to, seems to draw quite an attention.  Beverly Hills this, Beverly Hills that. I guess some people might be just interested in knowing how much all these rich old farts pay for having their stinking fat removed in a place like Beverly Hills: liposuction in Beverly Hills, anyone? Or their wrinkles ironed out by lasers or whatever it is that is used for that (chemical peel?) ...
